So, We hope to provide our best safari experience for you. come and visit us. Udawalawe National Park is a national park on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces in Sri Lanka. The park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir.

5.00Amazing safari experience! We did a 4 hour tour with Udith- he was very knowledgable and friendly. We were picked up from our lunch spot, had a lovely afternoon (we booked the 2pm slot) and were dropped home. Would 100% recommend to a friend- was one of our favourite activities while travelling.

5.00Our safari with Gimhana was an unforgettable experience. It was important to us that the well-being of the animals comes first, something our Guide Gimhana always took great care of. Whenever we got close to an animal, he switched off the engine and we deliberately kept silent, making sure not to disturb them. Communication with Gimhana was smooth and reliable right from the beginning, which made the whole trip stress-free. He also kept his distance from other jeeps or took alternative routes, which meant we were on our own most of the time. We were very grateful for that. Highly recommend Gimhana as both a guide and/ or driver🤩

5.00This was a great experience. The communication prior to the experience was great. Denith arrived promptly and was a great guide. He drive safely and provided useful information about the wildlife spotted. He was attentive and made an effort to point out wildlife I may have missed. We saw lots of elephants, water buffalo, a crocodile, many birds. I recommend this tour. Thank you!

The taxi picked me up from my hotel in Ella and drove me to the national park, where the Jeep driver and the guide we’re waiting for me, we entered the park and immediately spottedan elephant, both the driver and the guide were entertaining and really great at spotting the wildlife, I saw a baby elephants, a lot of nice birds, deer and other animals . Everything was well organized and safe, I had a great day.

5.00We had an amazing experience on the Udawalawe Safari! The park was beautiful, and we were lucky enough to see a large number of elephants including mothers with their calves. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we had the best opportunities to spot wildlife. The entire safari was well organised and enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re visiting Sri Lanka, I highly recommend the Udawalawe Safari.

5.00We chose the 7 hour option which was the right choice as the time just flew by. Our guide was punctual, polite and professional - taking his time to explain about the animals we were watching. The park is big and he knew his way around. There were other tour groups but we rarely bumped into them. We saw elephants, water buffalo, deer, crocodiles, jungle foul (the Sri Lankan national bird), sea eagle, toucans, king fishers and plenty of peacocks. My personal favourite was the Sri Lankan jackal.

5.00I booked the four-hour safari with Gimhana and did not regret it. Going to the park early in the morning was absolutely worth it – the atmosphere was beautiful and many animals were active. Particularly impressive were the many elephants that we could observe up close in their natural environment. Gimhana was attentive, friendly, and had a good eye for spotting animals and sharing interesting information. In addition to elephants, we also saw water buffalo, crocodiles, and various bird species. A clear recommendation for anyone who wants to go on a safari in Udawalawe!
