So, We hope to provide our best safari experience for you. come and visit us. Udawalawe National Park is a national park on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces in Sri Lanka. The park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir.

5.00We were able to see many elephants and other species. Ghimana, our guide, shared his knowledge about each of the species we encountered. He also took the time to answer all of our questions. We had a wonderful time.

5.00We had a great time on safari with Gimhaha and his driver. We saw lots of elephants, crocodiles, deer and a jackal along with lots of birds. Gimhana was super responsive, on time and very respectful of all the animals. I highly recommend him!

5.00We had a great time on our safari! Dineth was a great guide and we were able to see a lot of animals but especially a lot of elephants (and baby elephants)! We literally lost count of how many we saw and overall the experience was just really nice. Would highly recommend!

5.00Excellent safari with Gayan as our driver and guide. He was incredibly respectful and considerate of our needs. He gave the animals space and we were rewarded with close encounters. Gimhana was excellent at communicating before the tour with clear instructions. Highly recommend.

5.00I couldn’t recommend Gimhana and Udawalawe Wild Safari more! We were really keen to make sure we booked a safari with a company who were as respectful to the animals and as knowledgable as possible and we got that here. Gimhana and his driver went out of their way to avoid the other jeeps in the park and over the course of 7 hours, we saw such a huge array of wildlife - including elephants (a full herd), crocodiles, numerous birds (including birds of prey), peacocks, jackals, water buffalo, mongoose and lizards. We spent a lot of time searching for elephants in numerous places and within 2 hours we were rewarded - a magical experience and all the better to see them without being surrounded by other keeps. Gimhana was so knowledgable about the animals - able to answer all our questions. Gimhana’s communication was exceptional, clear on WhatsApp and flexible to change dates when we booked the wrong day. He sorted breakfast for us and we had a lovely spot to eat it near one of the large lakes and he drove us to a lunch spor on our way back to the hotel. We couldn’t recommend him more!

5.00Lahiru safari guide & tours with Vikum,driver were excellent. We had the best time. Lahiru was very knowledgeable which made experience really interesting and fun. Would highly recommend this tour. Afternoon tour was best (four hours). We saw so many elephants, three crocodiles, monkey, mongoose and some beautiful birds including the Sri Lankan hornbill. Will definitely go again when I return to Sri Lanka. Thank you Lahiru and Vikum.
