Your 3 hour whale watching adventure begins when you board a coach bus that departs downtown Juneau from the Mt. Roberts Tram parking lot. A 25 minute journey through the picturesque landscape of Southeast Alaska will take you to Auke Bay Harbor. “All aboard!” and you’re off for Alaska waters and the ultimate whale watching experience. The star of the tour is the humpback whale, but we are always looking out for sea lions, bald eagles, or the playful orca. The whales are here to feed in our abundant Alaskan waters. As we went out in our boat in the rain, the sun came out and we saw the most vibrant double rainbow. We were entertained by Orcas and humpback whales, including some moms with their calves. We saw eagles and porpoises. We even saw the famous whale Flame fluke. It was a memorable, excellent trip guided by Captain Scott, Tess and Shay. They were all welcoming and helpful, with a wealth of information. Even our shuttle driver Mark was awesome. I highly recommend this company and would definitely book with them again.

We saw many humpbacks with there young swimming in calm waters. There were multiple whales in small groups 3-5 in on group and 2-3 in another. At any on time there were several in the area making it a fun experience.

We did this excursion while in Juneau and really enjoyed it. The boat was spacious and the commentary was interesting. Once we got to the watching spot, we went upstairs to the open air deck and were rewarded with sightings of several humpback whales and quite a few Orcas as well. The operators were all very personable and informative.
