You're heading from Hanoi to Halong Bay early today, and once you board your cruise, the real exploration begins. The boat takes you through thousands of limestone islands as you sail through the bay. In the afternoon, you visit Sung Sot Cave and spend time swimming and relaxing on Titop Island. Your half-day city tour starts at 8:00 AM. You'll see the Reunification Palace, an impressive Parisian-style building with Vietnam War history on display. Then it's on to Notre Dame Cathedral and the Post Office, both beautiful French-built structures with neoclassical architecture. The War Remnants Museum follows, where you walk through documentaries, photos, and historical relics showing the war's impact on Vietnam. By early afternoon you're back at your hotel with the rest of the day to yourself.

Mekong Delta

You leave at 8:00 AM heading toward the Mekong Delta, arriving in Cai Be around 2 hours later. A sampan boat takes you along the riverside where you see the daily life and rhythms of the delta. You visit a local family factory making traditional coconut candy, rice paper, and pop rice, tasting things as you go. Later, a longtail boat carries you through mangrove swamps to Tan Phong Island where you catch traditional Don ca tai tu musical performances. Lunch includes local dishes like deep-fried elephant-ear fish. In the afternoon you transfer to Can Tho and spend the evening exploring the city on your own.

Mekong Delta

Enjoy breakfast then start a cycling trip (from 2 hours to 2.5 hours) to the island of Oc on a concrete track, lined with fruit trees and coconut trees. On the way, pass by the local market where various local ingredients such as vegetables, meat, fruits,.. are sold. Subject to availability, visit a workshop of baskets made of coconut stems and a coconut processing operation. You will have a chance to interact with the workshop owners on different braiding techniques. Then return to the bicycles and cross a local Mekong River ferry to reach the island. From there, cycling on small paths dotted with small huts hidden in lush vegetation while seeing the daily life of the inhabitants of Mekong Delta, governed by artisanal and agricultural activities. Stop at a fish farm, to learn more about two species of catfish: ca tra (Pangasius hypophthalmus) and ca ba sa (Pangasius court), raised in ponds. Continue biking and back to Mekong Home.

Spend your morning at leisure. Our driver will meet you and take you to the airport. At 9.00 am, departure from Bangkok to visit three fascinating traditional Thai markets, including the Maeklong railway market, Amphawa floating market, and Damnoen Saduak floating market Start your day with a visit to the Damnoen Saduak floating market, where you’ll board a wooden boat and slowly drift by busy stalls and vendors’ boats loaded with goods. Here, you can sample some local snacks and delicious fruits as you make your way through the hectic market.

Afterward, make your way back onto the land and head for the Holy Rosary Church, where you can admire its pristine exterior before entering into a marvelous show of colorful lights caused by its stained glass windows.

Following your exploration of a Catholic church, you’ll get to explore an iconic Buddhist temple, Wat Bang Kung! The temple has a serene atmosphere, allowing you to admire the Thai boxing statues and the many natural elements that have slowly taken over the temple over the years.

Mae Klong Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market)

Then, you’ll explore the unconventional Maeklong Railway Market, where trains occasionally ride straight through the market, with stalls quickly moving out of the way as if it were natural. You will also explore another traditional market — the Amphawa Floating Market — where you can discover a variety of goods, such as fresh produce, dried seafood, and many delectable Thai snacks! Then we go firefly watching right at Amphawa and indulge in the sight of tiny sparkling fireflies lighting up the riverbank. After that, we back to hotel for rest.
