Antelope Canyon is one of the most famous slot canyons in the world, favored by photographers. Located in northern Arizona, this stunning wonder belongs to the Navajo Aboriginal Reserve. Antelope Canyon is divided into two separate parts on the terrain - Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon. Upper Antelope Canyon is the most frequently visited by tourists. Its entrance and entire length are at ground level, requiring no climbing. Beams or shafts of direct sunlight radiating down from openings are much more common in Upper than in Lower.

Due to the high demand and the restrictions on the number of visitors for each time slot, the actual entry time may be adjusted even after confirmation, especially at peak season.
The use of selfie sticks, tripods and monopods are prohibited
Backpacks and large bags are not allowed in the canyon
Important: Please bring water with you and stay hydrated, Antelope Canyon is very remote and there are no stores to purchase water.
Due to the narrow passageway inside the Canyon, please follow Navajo tour guide's instruction and arrangement when taking pictures. Tour guide leads each visitor group to walk through the canyon. Each visitor group has its assigned time period to take photos at each scenery point. So while enjoying the wonders of Mother Nature, please do not stand still for a long time. Otherwise you may block visitors in the following group. Please understand that depending on the congestion level, tour guide may require that each visitor or family group can only take one photo at one scenery point.

Formed by erosion of Navajo Sandstone, Antelope Canyon is home to deep corridors and flowing smoothing edges and a favorite stop among hikers and photographers. 5.00Pros: Caleb did an awesome job explaining everything about the canyons. He also took the time to show us how to get the best shots on our camera or he would just take them for us. We had a great time and highly recommend. Cons: At the end of the tour there is a bit of a hike. You will have to go up a bit of incline and then come down quite a bit of stairs. I wouldn’t recommend if you have mobility issues. Other than that it was an awesome tour!

5.00We really did not know what to expect. Mike was our very knowledgeable guide. We walked into a slot in the rocks and were met with an experience unrivaled. Even with afternoon sunlight Mike who is an expert in photography for us novices took wonderful pictures and gave us real insight on this experience. Thank you for this wonderful memory

5.00Visiting Upper Antelope Canyon was easily one of the most breathtaking experiences of my trip to Arizona, and much of that is thanks to Dequan, our incredibly knowledgeable and informative Navajo tour guide. From the moment we entered the canyon, he shared not only fascinating facts about how the canyon was formed over millions of years, but also the cultural and spiritual significance it holds for the Navajo people. His explanations made the swirling sandstone walls and spectacular winding passageways even more meaningful—not just beautiful. Dequan and Delilah were both patient, professional, and clearly proud of their heritage. Dequan expertly pointed out unique formations, explained how flash floods continue to shape the canyon, and helped guests capture amazing photos by suggesting the best angles, locations, and camera settings. His calm presence, storytelling, and historical background knowledge truly brought the canyon to life. Upper Antelope Canyon is stunning on its own, but experiencing it through the insight of Navajo guides made the visit truly unforgettable and deeply enriching. Thank you, Dequan and Delilah!

5.00We toured upper antelope canyon with Diquan Atene It was an amazing experience from start to finish. Diquan knew all about the area and the Navajo Nation. We learned so much and he showed us how to take better photos and took some amazing photos with our camera. We would definitely recommend Diquan Atene for your guide to a wonderful experience at one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen

3.00The experience of seeing upper antelope was good. The tour was a bit disorganized and there was a bit of waiting around. The most frustrating part was that the time of the tour changed less than 12 hours start time. I was lucky to check my messages before I went to sleep or else I would have arrived at 7am for at 750am tour that was cancelled

1.00The experience was horrible. The canyon itself is absolutely amazing, but the experience was completely ruined by Hogan Canyon Tours. The staff at the check-in desk was extremely unfriendly and rude, especially one woman who was very mean and disrespectful. There was no sense of welcome or professionalism. We booked and paid a very expensive ticket for a 1:00 PM time slot, but after payment, they reassigned us to 3:00 PM without proper explanation. The company was clearly overbooked and saturated, and customers were the ones paying the price. This kind of organization and attitude is unacceptable given the high price of the tour. The canyon is beautiful, but the agency seriously damages the experience.

1.00We were very disappointed. The guide was new and only had been doing this for a month and didn't tell us much about the canyon. Other guides let their group come back to the start through the canyon but ours was the only group that walked from the outside. So that was a little disappointing. But mainly, viator overcharged us for the tour while the tour company only charged $120/person as it was the holiday season but we ended up paying a lot more. There were other customers with us that booked through viator and felt the same.

5.00Our tour guide was Dylan A and he was fabulous! He was very knowledgeable and he was able to take the time with us to show us all the good areas for pictures and he even took pictures of all of us. We had a smaller tour because I had a baby with us. He made sure we were okay and we took the shorter way out to get the car faster than going around the canyon. We are super grateful to have had him. I would recommend him 10/10!!
