St Peter’s Basilica & Sistine Chapel are subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
On Wednesdays, due to the Papal Audiences, access to St Peter's Basilica is not possible until 1pm
St Peter's Basilica is not accessible on the express tours options
Please be advised that access to St. Peter's Basilica will not be guaranteed unless the names of all participants in the booking are provided in advance. This requirement is essential for security and the Venue organizational purposes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit.

3.00Well to start with due to pope passing the Sistine chapel was closed. I tried to contact the company.to find out what was going on and never heard back. We gathered on steoscandcwasvthen told closed. Our group consisted of myself and 5 friends as long as ith one other women. Our guide was Roxy who stated she would go Our speed. I am 64 and was youngest in group. She went very fast even tho we were falling behind. The vatican was very crowded and I got separated from group. I am told she refused to stop and look for me and insisted group keep going as she had a schedule to keep. One friend stopped and insisted she keep calling out on headset to tell me where they were a ND she finally complied and I was located. She did not show us the saint Peter basilica just took us in pointed out a few things and left. The location was beautiful and entry want well just felt rushed whole tour even though we had 3 hours and no chapel included due to conclave

2.00Nothing you can do but way too many people!! Christ in Matthew 21:12 upset the tables and drove people out for abusing his house. The church (little c) is doing the same thing.

5.00The Vatican Tour was AMAZING!! An unforgettable experience. We had an opportunity to see everything that was promised. Our tour guide, Valerio was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient. We had an elderly lady on our tour and a small child in a stroller and Valerio took extra time to accommodate their needs. He is very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information with us about Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museum, St Peter's Basilica and everything! The best tour guide EVER!! Viator has never let me down. I always enjoy their tours and they always deliver as promised.
