St Peter’s Basilica & Sistine Chapel are subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
On Wednesday mornings, access to St. Peter’s Basilica is not included due to the Papal Audience. Entry is only possible after 1:00 PM.
St Peter's Basilica is not accessible on the express tours options
Please be advised that access to St. Peter's Basilica will not be guaranteed unless the names of all participants in the booking are provided in advance. This requirement is essential for security and the Venue organizational purposes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit.
Please note that if you choose the “St. Peter's Basilica Tour Only” option, access to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel will not be included.

5.00Gio was an excellent tour guide! Very knowledgeable. Kept us all entertained while learning so much about the incredible collection of art surrounding us. She set a good pace for the young and the less physically able so that everyone enjoyed the tour. It is about 3 hours long with a lot of walking but not too hard. Plenty of restroom breaks.

5.00Oxinia was our tour guide. This tour was very informative and absolutely breathtaking. We absolutely loved the tour and all the history we learned from Oxinia who was very knowledgeable and funny. This is a must do tour.

5.00The tour was great, very impressive art and architecture. Maria took us to her favorite places in the Vatican and gave a lot of background information that we did not know. Maria was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. She made sure to give the option of using an elevator when possible because I use crutches and stairs can be difficult. Maria is a beautiful person inside and out, and she was easy to understand with a lovely accent. I highly recommend asking for her for a tour.

1.00We booked, what we thought was a tour of the Vatican Museum, Sistene Chappel and "St. Peter's Bascillica Guided Tour." That's printed on our ticket. The company does not highlight that there is no Bascillica tour on Wednesday because it is closed for a regular Papal event. Nor do they try to make it up to you by providing a skip the line ticket which we had to buy for 50 Euro from another company or wait in line with a gazillion people. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable but did not stop talking for over 2 hours. Seriously. There was no interation between the guide and the group. There was no way to get in a question so you might as well just get an audio tour on your own and save a lot of money. The company asked for my opinion and I gave it to them. They debated it with me so no, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND.

5.00Tour guide, Maria, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and took us to places in the Vatican museum that were normally not on the list of activities. She also gave us excellent advice about how to get into the basilica since it was closed during our tour.
