St Peter’s Basilica & Sistine Chapel are subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
On Wednesday mornings, access to St. Peter’s Basilica is not included due to the Papal Audience. Entry is only possible after 1:00 PM.
St Peter's Basilica is not accessible on the express tours options
Please be advised that access to St. Peter's Basilica will not be guaranteed unless the names of all participants in the booking are provided in advance. This requirement is essential for security and the Venue organizational purposes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit.
Please note that if you choose the “St. Peter's Basilica Tour Only” option, access to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel will not be included.

5.00First and foremost, Christian Mineo Savona was the most amazing tour guide! You can tell a difference when your tour guide is a real historian who can go into detail about all the different rooms and artwork at the Vatican. But to top it off, he is so funny and friendly, and made sure to interact with everyone in our group to keep the tour, fun and energetic. It’s not easy, giving a tour in as hectic yet spiritual place as the Vatican, but Christian was amazing!

5.00Small group tour worth every penny. We breezed through the front of the line. Granted it was February, and the summer months you will be in line longer, but much faster than not on a tour. The guide we had was so good, adorable, calm, and not long winded.

5.00Maria was very knowledgable and an amazing guide. We had a great time. Be aware that the last judgement is covered up right now for maintenance so you won’t see that if you chose the Sistine chapel.

She is incredibly knowledgeable and managed to pack so much history into the three hours while keeping it super interesting and engaging. Her sense of humor made the experience even better! If you’re looking for a tour that is both educational and fun, I highly recommend asking for Amy.

5.00We did the Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museums, and St. Peter’s Basilica tour and it was absolutely worth it. Our guide, Christian, was easy to understand (English,) funny and insanely knowledgeable. He shared so many details and behind-the-scenes facts that we never would have picked up just wandering through on our own. He made centuries of art, politics, and drama feel like a story instead of a lecture. The Vatican Museums are overwhelming in the best way, and walking into the Sistine Chapel after understanding what you’re actually looking at hits completely different. And St. Peter’s Basilica? Just stunning. The scale, the light, the detail — it’s one of those places that makes you go quiet for a minute. My only complaint is that I wish we had more time. There is so much to see and absorb. Highly recommend doing this with a guide — especially if you get Christian.

3.00I suggest you pack your patience. To no fault of the guide. It is very unorganized entry/security check. Too many people are allowed in at one time. You are only showed a specific area of the museum, unable to see any paintings. My want plan a separate tour for that.
