St Peter’s Basilica & Sistine Chapel are subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
On Wednesday mornings, access to St. Peter’s Basilica is not included due to the Papal Audience. Entry is only possible after 1:00 PM.
St Peter's Basilica is not accessible on the express tours options
Please be advised that access to St. Peter's Basilica will not be guaranteed unless the names of all participants in the booking are provided in advance. This requirement is essential for security and the Venue organizational purposes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit.
Please note that if you choose the “St. Peter's Basilica Tour Only” option, access to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel will not be included.

4.00Seeing Sistine Chapel and some of the old masterworks as well as old world maps was nice. You can’t take pictures in the Sistine chapel. There is seating, where you can sit and just look up at the ceiling. It is timed, however, so after a few minutes (I think 10-15), you get ushered out. We had reservations made 2 months earlier and were cancelled on the day of the tour. Fortunately, we were able to get in later in the afternoon, without the guide. 2 weeks later, we are still waiting on our refund. There was a lot of modern art, voodoo and other religious curiosities also on display that seemed sacrilegious.
The best way to visit the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chappel and Basilica!

5.00The morning meeting point was well organised, however knowing that the crowds during the final days of Jubulee were bigger then usual, maybe having us meet and line up in designated rows for an our time slot would be more efficient. Chiara was lovely and knowledgeable. The history of Rome and Vatican City was great. The kids even though up early, waiting in lines and all the hussle enjoyed the information and interesting facts Chiara added, and they were quite content for the 3 and half hour tour.

5.00I have been lucky enough to visit the Vatican a few times. This was my first guided tour. Piergiorgio was the best guide I have ever had for any tour. He was not boring he actually cared and most importantly was funny and not too full of himself.
