Vientiane, the capital and largest city of Laos, is located in the banks of the Mekong River. This 8-hour tour is lead by an English-speaking guide who will take you to visit historic temples, national monuments, local handicrafts, and Buddha Park. Hotel pick up and drop-off is available from centrally located Vientiane hotels and lunch will be provided.

Wat Si Saket

Take a sightseeing tour of Vientiane and visit religious museums of Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple to have survived from the Siamese war of 1828. Amazingly, its cloister contains more than 8,000 Buddha statues like Ho Prakeo, Pra Keo, and the Emerald Buddha statue.

Then, head over to the Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos. It was built to cover the original small stupa containing a piece of the chest bone of Buddha. The Luang serves as the main and symbolic stupa in Laos. It's also the national symbol and is recognized throughout the world. In addition to being the biggest stupa in Laos, the Luang Stupa is considered to be a gathering place for national Buddhism ceremonies

It was very nice and the guide was extremely kind and attentive. The itinerary was quite quiet c we did all the roteyde way orderly and without Hurry

The guide was fantastic. The sites were less than enjoyable. And it was hot and I didn’t wanna climb stairs in the heat. He did the best he could with what he had to work with (me).
Covered all the key sites but poor value for money.

The tour was something of a disappointment especially at a price double that of a similar tour in Phnom Penh. The guide spoke adequate English but we had to tease information from him throughout the tour. The tour included lunch (a bowl of Pho costing 3 dollars) adding to a sense of being ripped off.

Visit a little adventurous with surprise, visa x enter Laos, 1800 Bhat x foreigners, a legalized theft, also every visit, temples, museums, etc., for a fee, not to do

Had a lovely day out with our guide who took us to loads of places around Vientiane. Definitely worth doing this tour! Our guide was friendly, very informative & knowledgeable. The lunch spot was great as well.

The guide Mr. Algo g was really nice and made the tour very enjoyable and fun, he explained a lot not only about the place but as well as the country’s history, also the lunch was delicious

Really great day with a fantastic guide Khong who shared his knowledge and had a great energy and passion for his city and all it has to offer. We went to lots of different places and he told me special facts I wouldn’t have known without him. The lunch spot was delicious.

On our first trip to Laos we weren’t sure what to expect. The Buddha Park is a gorgeous combination of Buddhist and Hindu sculpture and fabulous flowers. Chansay was not only an incredibly patient guide with all of our questions but he also has a fine sense of humor making for a relaxed and fun day. We did everything listed on the itinerary and enjoyed a delicious lunch. If he were available for more of our stay we would happily book him. I highly recommend this tour as a terrific way to learn about Vientiane.

Buddha Park (aka Xieng Khuan) is a famous sculpture park with more than 200 religious statues including a huge 40-metre high reclining Buddha image. Others: Wat Sisaket - the oldest surviving temple in Laos, one of the oldest temples in Vientiane, featuring over 6,840 remarkable Buddha images Ho Phra Keo Museum which once served as the temple for the royal family. Patuxai also known as Gate of Victory and Pha That Luang the Grand Stupa.
