  • The reason you need to come to Cebu

This was truly the highlight of our trip! Swimming with whale sharks was amazing! Then on to zip lining Superman style to our canyoneering adventure with non stop fun and amazing scenery. Our guides for both adventures were top notch and made the experience even better. Highly recommend this experience if you are visiting Cebu! In fact make Oslob,Cebu a stop on your trip just so you can. Once in a lifetime experience! Only advice is not to do this if you’re afraid of heights or have physical limitations. There is jumping and hiking involved.

  • Thank you Bobby, Shyra & Jamela!

Thank you to Bobby, our driver who took exceptionally good care of us. We requested to be dropped off at Moalboal after the tour, and he kindly accommodated and sent us to our hotel. He also showed us baby sharks along the way to canyoneering. Thanks so much Bobby!! Also want to say thank you to our canyoneering guides, Shyra and Jamela. They made the adventure so much more fun with their enthusiasm, singing and just positive energy. They took the most amazing photos of us, knew all the angles etc. We were pretty tired after whale sharks but their energy hyped us up. Thank you so much guys! You really made the tour special. Unfortunately couldn’t do the tumalog falls because it was closed. But got refunded for that. We also thought canyoneering definitely made up for it. An amazing private tour!

  • Cool experience but a lot of annoyances

The Whale Shark swimming was great, but many of the other details left me frustrated. In full disclosure, the canyoneering was canceled due to high rain, I was reimbursed for the cost of this and feel content with that portion. We started the day with a 0330 pickup from our resort in Mactan. We asked the driver about breakfast, but he made no reference to the fact that we would get breakfast in Oslob, once we arrived. As a result we stopped at a pit stop, loaded up on packaged food, then got to the location for a surprise breakfast. This is fine, just annoying that it wasn’t communicated. After the 3-hr drive we arrived in Oslob. The first thing you have to do is stand in line to get a ticket (covered by the tour company) for a whale shark experience. Due to our stop along the way, we were actually quite late when getting a ticket number, so we had about a 4 hour wait from ticket pickup to tour. The first thing we did was get breakfast, which was covered by the company and fine (toast, egg, banana and jam). Afterwards we went to a waterfall nearby. This was fun, you could wade in the water and take pictures. We had to pay 50 pesos per person for this, which was mildly annoying, but not overly expensive. After the waterfall we went back to the whale shark area, where we had to wait for 90-min for a boat to take us out. Our tour guide told us we were number 189, but we were actually 198, which was annoying, but not the end of the world. Only about a 15 min delay. Swimming with the whale sharks was amazing. Afterwards, due to traffic, our return trip took 5-hrs. All things considered we spent 10 hours in a van or in a chair for 30-min of swimming and 45 min at a nice waterfall. Maybe it’s worth it to you, I’m personally on the fence. I would not recommend anyone stay in Mactan. There is no upside, staying in Cebu City or Lapu Lapu would make more sense. I wish my tour guide was more personable and talked more. I wish someone would have provided an overview of our itinerary so we could have planned meals or set expectations for my kids.
