My dear friend,
Honestly I want to inform you about the whale sighting situation in the Mirissa area.
•Blue Whale: 25%
•Fin Whale: 50%
•Spinner Dolphins or Other Dolphins: 80%
•Other Animals: 50%
The reason we don't see whales here (low chance), In the last 5 years some speed boat operators illegally go to Whale Diving & Whale snorkeling. Even though we have informed our Coast Guard and Wildlife Department about this, no action has been taken yet. As a result, many whales have left our sea area.
In this situation, we can only do a nice boat safari. During the tour if you are lucky you can see Whales. We try our best to find them.
*** We stop our boat mid of tour 30 minutes for sea bath ( you have to bring necessary clothes for that)

Great set up - but no whales!

4.0The boat was really well set up and managed. The communication leading up to the tour was excellent. Unfortunately we didn’t see any whales but we did see lots of dolphins!

5.0I really enjoyed this tour and am glad I chose this company. Unlike other boats that looked overcrowded, this one had a comfortable number of passengers. There were enough seats for everyone, and it was easy to reach the railing to see marine life without pushing through a crowd. The staff was very friendly, and the snacks were delicious. The tour lasted exactly as advertised, unlike some other operators who returned after just a few hours. We were lucky to see both dolphins and whales! The crew and captain were highly professional, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommended!

4.0We did not see any whales during our trip. Only dolphins, a lot of them, playing with the boat, jumping. So that was fun but not what we wanted. Staff was careful. We had the opportunity to jump from the boat to the ocean, that was fun !

5.0The trip was excellent on a large comfortable boat. The crew were helpful, knowledgeable and as keen as us to see as much sea life as possible. They even raced back out to see to try and give us all a glimpse of whales.

5.0We saw whales, dolphins, turtles and flying fish. A great 4 hours. Even stopped for a swim in the sea. Crew very good and food OK. Warning: the boat rolls on the waves a lot… many people will be sea-sick. I am lucky that it does not affect me but I felt sorry for several people who were sick, Make sure you take the sea sick tablet !! Overall a BRILLIANT experience and thank you Whale Watching Club… easily the best
