Are you ready for some adrenaline fuelled grade 2 white-water rafting? Look no further! Tackle Melbourne’s very own Yarra river in a two-person inflatable sports raft! Raft your way over furious rapids with names such as “Bob’s rock” and “pinball rapid” and challenge yourself as you paddle down the raging rapids!
This is a fully guided rafting adventure with all safety equipment and instructions for the paddle. We will kit you out with the latest gear and raft and demonstrate how to paddle and steer the with ease! Then it’s two fantastic adrenaline-packed hours on grade 2 rapids.

Time to turn up the adventure dial with an awesomely fun white-water rafting adventure on the Yarra river. The experienced team from the Adventure Merchants will kit you out with the latest gear and sports raft, and then it’s two fantastic adrenaline-packed hours on grade 2 rapids. You will paddle through stunning gorges and valleys filled with native bush land and wildlife. Steer your way down the river whilst negotiating the twists and turns of boiling rapids and grade 1-2 white-water. This rafting adventure is guaranteed to get the heart pumping and the adrenaline flowing. So, come and join us on Melbourne’s Yarra river for an awesome white-water river adventure! Great fun for Summer and winter! For bigger white-water and rapids, we recommend coming along in winter months! The water level is generally much higher and faster flowing with large waves and surging holes! Awesome fun and highly recommended! This adventure operates every weekend through out the year and also every day from the end of December through to the end of February. Start times vary depending on the season however we generally operate a session at 10am and one at 1430 with earlier and later sessions available in summer months. The location for this activity is the end of Lower homestead road, Wonga park. We meet in the gravel carpark next to the river.

5.00Awesome fun experiencing the Yarra river rapids! Paul made the adventure fun and explained everything really well! Dave and I had a great time getting stuck on rocks and mastering the PinBall! Great way to spend a Saturday morning! Bring a change of clothes!

5.00Excellent morning!!! Highly recommend... it’s like being a tourist in your own city! Paul was patient and lots of fun with clear instruction. Great for first timers as river is low at this time of year, but enough to get a taste. Planning my next trip with this company already!

3.00This experience was good fun, safe and organised well! We had a great morning getting out of the city. Kate & Paul did a great job at explaining the safety and rapids along the way, guiding us through. The river water levels were high for us which meant we didn’t get stuck on as many rocks, but even if you do get stuck on rocks, you can in most cases get out of the boat safely and pull your boat off the rock, it isn’t too deep. Be prepared to get at least from your waist down wet and bring some spare clothes and shoes. My partner and I thought the rapids were very easy to navigate and were probably expecting a few bigger ones but it was relaxing. I would have also preferred the experience to go on a little longer, as it was pretty much arrive, Park the car, get in raft, go down the river, pack up raft, then everyone left. Our tour took 2hrs all together. I would have also loved for it to be a bit more interactive with the other people there, as we never got to know any of them as there was no time. A group photo would have been cool too, to post on Facebook or share. Overall it was a fun and enjoyable morning!

4.00Had a great day, plenty of instruction from Paul and Kate, they helped you through as you went along. Water level was a bit low (nobody has any control over that), which meant we got stuck on a few rocks, which wasn't a bad thing, just meant we had to get better at steering quickly! Good for beginners, nice views of the hills as we went along, even saw a wild wombat. Would recommend!
