Windsor Castle
The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history. Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor.

We had a great day full of activities with our lovely tour guide Godfrey. We went to Oxford first and Godfrey walked us around and explained important sights, then gave us time to shop and eat before moving back to the bus. Next we went to Stonehenge. On the way there Godfrey gave us some history and also had blue stone on hand for us to feel what the center stones were made of. When we arrived we were given our tickets and shown the shuttle that brought us out to the Stonehenge sight, when we were done exploring there was a cafe and shop. The final stop was Windsor Castle, and just like with the other two stops Godfrey gave us the history of the castle while on the bus and he continued to give us a walking tour around the castle. We then had time to shop and grab a bite to eat before heading back to London. It was a wonderful experience for me and my dad, and we both learned a lot from the tour.

A great way to look outside London with the comfort of a guide and driver. The Godfrey guide speaks English and Spanish perfectly and with his humor made the day fun too. Advice!

The experience was great. Kevin was an enjoyable tour guide. Knowledgeable and funny, and knows how to manage the group with timing etc. David drove timely and carefully. The audio aid was a great add-on too. Made it convenient for everyone to during the walking tour of Oxford. It’s quite a long tour given the three sites but it felt jam-packed, and it’s value for money. The Stonehenge site was interesting and very intriguing, the Windsor castle is also nice but we had to wait in line for 30mins in the cold.

there is a lot of driving and very little sightseeing. We got a little bit better than an hour at each location. There wasn’t even time to go through the whole Windsor castle with the earphones before we have to be back at the bus. There wasn’t time to grab food. Stonehedge was fine and had ample time. Cambridge was dark and freezing, but out of the 11 hours only about four were sighting. The highlight of the trip was Simon the tour guide. He was fabulous and did his job perfectly.

This tour was very informative and interesting. We have seen and experienced a lot. The tour was packed with information and we still had free time for personal activities like sightseeing. This tour I highly recommend. Our guide was called Simon and he went to great lengths to explain everything to us. But the condition is good English. Although he speaks very clear English, which I also partly understood. I highly recommend this tour.
