  I have a membership. This is my second trip this year. I do believe the discount on food and gifts should be 25%, not 10%. I also feel there should be 4 free entry tickets not two. There is much at the zoo to recommend. My only concern are some of the big cats: Bengal Tiger, Panther were pacing and showing signs of stress.

  I personally have gone to many zoos in my time. The Bronx zoo. Lincoln park zoo, Brookfield zoo, Milwaukee zoo, Minneapolis zoos, Springfield, Missouri zoo. This is the most spectacular zoo that I have seen. It is also a botanical garden that has vegetation that would be common to the animal natural habitat. Pandas, koalas, Kimodo dragon , lions, tigers, bears. Birds off all kinds, reptiles, amphibians You'll have to have great walking shoes. It is up hill and downhill through out the park. You need the whole day to go through it. They have gondola rides, but the wait is an hour or more. They have a bus that was about 30 minute wait, but gives you a great overview of the park.   Started the day with the bus tour which was a wonderful introduction and overview of the zoo. Jet was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide! Then we picked our favorite spots to visit for the remainder of our time.

  What a fun zoo! We did the Inside Look cart tour, and our guide (Kaia) was great. She patiently answered all our questions and took us closer to the okapi, giraffes, and penguins. We got to feed the giraffes, which was a cool experience for the kids. Like any zoo, the restaurants at lunch hour were a mess—long lines, confusion about our order, cold food, etc. We ate at Sydney Grill and Busy Bee Cafe. The best part of the zoo for the kids was the water play area.

  We are originally from Omaha, NE, so we had high expectations compared to the Henry Doorly Zoo. We had a great time, but I still remain partial to the Omaha Zoo. The giant panda that we were able to see was great, my daughter loved it and my son was able to see the red panda and capybara, his two favorite animals. Overall, the zoo is great, we spend 6 hours walking the zoo, enjoying the skyfari, and the guided bus tour. I really liked that the bus tour and skyfari are included in the ticket price.

  Great experience. The bus tour was good. Got a preview of the zoo. Parking fee not too high. Staff very friendly and helpful. Be prepared for a lot of walking.

  Can’t miss the San Diego Zoo. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Take the bus tour as soon as you arrive. It will give you an overview of everything then you can go back and see what you want up close. Everyone there so helpful and nice. It was so fun and great walking! Exhibits were so well done. Landscapes were truly beautiful. What a day!
