  Emma was our tour guide with the Golden Tours Hop On and off bus tours. What a fantastic job she did. She gave us a heads up telling us when we should have our phones ready to take great shots & she also provided tips for restaurants and bars. She was extremely personable, I'm glad we excited to take this tour. Per her recommendations, we also went to visit the White Tower, Dickens restaurant and the oldest bar in London.   Fabulous experience learning about London's history. Our tour guide Emma was a fountain of knowledge and was so enthusiastic about her city she calls home. Definitely a highlight of our trip. Loved Emma 😍

  Oh dear … what a waste of £40. Staff were friendly but the tour was dreadful. A nice scenic circular journey lasting about 50 minutes but the running commentary was shocking. Terrible music in between really uninteresting facts like members of the royal family sleeping in separate bedrooms (not much different to most married couples then!!) Despite the bus passing the Guildhall where Charles and Camilla married in 2025, a large statue of Queen Victoria, and a really old quirky crooked house amongst other very interesting places, statues and buildings nothing was said about these, merely random things that mostly didn’t even correspond to places that the bus was passing at the time. For example ‘look behind you to see an elevated view of the castle’ … nothing to see but trees! A couple of times the same details were repeated immediately as if the recording got stuck! Even places shown on the map they provided weren’t mentioned, for example the burning bush at Eton, very strange indeed. I genuinely believe there is so much more to tell about historical Windsor and Eton. I was very excited to be going on this tour but left feeling very very dissatisfied and uninformed so we spent the next hour or two after the journey googling facts over a beer! Oh and the music … did I mention the music ?!! Absolutely awful, just tinny repetitive nonsense to fill the in the many long gaps between the boring, non-sensical ‘information’. Also despite the website states 75-90 minutes for the full loop it was not even close to an hour (thankfully) plus no concessions at all available. The conductor said he has people asking all the time for concessions particular seniors but it is still £20 for everyone. Honestly I cannot recommend this tour at all, and I have been on many open bus tours so I do have comparisons. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff were so lovely. Golden tours Windsor up your game !!

  Sorry, Golden Tours sucks. I'm sitting here at the Lambeth Palace stop for the second day in a row while they change drivers - there's nothing around here, not even a place to go to the bathroom while they figure it out. Been here 10 minutes, they say 15 minutes more. Horrible. 3-4 Big Bus groups pass us while we sit here. Wasted my money on a 3-day pass because that's who our hotel works with. Don't use this service. Terrible.

  Emma, was amazing! Very informative. Sense of humor on point. Shared a lot of local restaurants and places to visit. Emma is very knowledge.

  We booked on line prior to our trip to Windsor, Both a boat tour and the Hop on Hop off Bus tour, for Saturday 23rd May. We started the 13:30 tour from stop 1. We were looking to get off at stop 8, But missed the announcement (And there are no Stop Request buttons available on the open top seats of the top deck) The taped commentary was sometimes repeated (after we had passed the point of interest) and not very clear in announcing the upcoming stop. So back in Windsor centre we decided to walk to Eton College and catch the bus back. On the Windsor High street we discussed this with your street based customer representative, he said that was OK and he would probably see us later. We were walking Eton high street from 15:30 (All part of your bus route). We got to stop 6 before 16:00. NO bus passed us. We waited until 17:20 NO bus arrived. We had to walk back, so were on Eton high street a further 10 minutes or so and never saw your bus. All your literature suggests tours run hourly, One of your timetables suggested last bus at stop 6 17:00, the other suggests 18:00? Either way NO bus passed in more than 2 hours. We were a group of 5, some elderly and some not in the best of health on a very hot day. I feel your Company or the Bus Driver let us down poorly for the hop on hop off service advertised.
