  Terrific tour of only of the market but also a variety of the small shops on Short North. Varied tastes, healthy portions, and great background information! Abby was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Enjoyed it immensely.

  What a great way to discover lots of amazing short north restaurants. Andy, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and engaging. The quality and quantity of food was excellent. I highly recommend this tour for people who live in the Columbus area and tourists as well.

  Great food tour of Columbus Short North area! We are new to Columbus and wanted to learn more about this district. We really enjoyed this tour, which started at the North Market and then out to some of the restaurants, etc. Our fav was the Hot Chicken Takeover, whose work with the community is inspiring! We learned a bit about the history and tasted several delicious food offerings. We had fantastic weather and the walking was all flat and very easy. Parking was simple in the garage by North market and was validated for discounted rate. Highly recommend and we are looking forward to doing other of their tours.   We took this tour with our son and daughter-in-law, who just moved to the area, and it was such a wonderful experience. Our guide, Abby, was absolutely fantastic—so friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. The food portions were generous, delicious, and offered a great variety. We also loved learning more about Columbus while getting the chance to explore an art gallery and admire some beautiful murals along the way. Pro tips: They validate part of your parking if you use the garage near the Short North Market. We happened to book on a game day, which ended up being a happy accident—it turned into a private tour just for the four of us! Highly recommend this tour for both locals and visitors.

  I was visiting Columbus for three days and booked the Short North food walking tour as an activity for Friday August 1st. The tour guide Andy Herbert was very knowledgeable and entertaining and made the tour very fun. Got to taste different foods that I never had before that were very tasty. We started out in the marketplace and then went outside to other places. I learned about Cameron Mitchell hotels and eateries. We walked about the Short North arts area stopping at places to taste their food. We ate enough to be quite satisfied as a lunch and finished up at the ice cream shop. It was a great tour and I thank Andy for being so attentive to this small group of seven.

  Our food tour through Columbus’ Short North District was an unforgettable experience packed with delicious surprises and meaningful moments. We started with unexpectedly amazing spicy chicken at Hot Chicken Takeover, where the manager’s story added depth to the meal. At Black Radish Creamery, pimento cheese won me over, along with a fascinating peek into the science of cheesemaking. Flavor-packed dumplings from Momo Ghar, a satisfying Somali sambusa from Hoyos Kitchen, and the rich aroma of the spice booth kept the momentum going. Our guide Ash led us to The Guild House and then for a slice of vegan coffee cake and iced chai from Park Service Coffee—absolute perfection—followed by a standout falafel plate from Brassica. We ended on a sweet note at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, sampling flavors before enjoying two generous scoops. Every stop offered not just great food, but heart, culture, and character—none of it would’ve felt quite as inspiring without Ash, our tour guide. Her energy, knowledge, and genuine love for the city turned what could’ve been a simple tasting tour into an experience I’d recommend in a heartbeat.
