  We booked a private tour of the El young gay rainforest because our cruise ship arrived and left at the wrong times to take a group tour, and the official ship tour looked too superficial. This was a smart choice. Our tour guide, Ricky, was personable and knowledgeable, discussing the history, fauna, and fora of the Forest, and pointing things out during our hike. Highly recommend setting up a tour through hidden excursions.

  Absolute Perfection – Request Shaly! Our private tour with Shaly was hands down the best part of our entire trip to Puerto Rico! She was the absolute best tour guide ever—her deep knowledge of the rainforest was incredible, and she was so high-energy and completely tailored the day to us. Her smart strategy to get an early start totally saved our day; we beat the massive holiday crowds and had the stunning rock waterslides almost entirely to ourselves. Every single recommendation she gave us was spot on, and the coastal food truck experience she lined up afterward was amazing. If you are booking this experience, do yourself a huge favor and request Shaly!

  This tour with Shaley was absolutely amazing! She was so friendly and showed us around the island. She was so thorough in explaining how to get through the slippery rocks and steep hills. When we got to the most difficult part of the climb, I personally started to chicken out, but Shaley have me the best and most needed pep talk so could get to the top for the rock slide. I HIGHLY recommend Shaley for this tour!

  Mitchell was awesome!! He has so much positive energy and made the whole day so much fun!! He is so knowledgeable about the forest and PR…especially a great lunch at Grandma’s!! I would highly recommend Mitchell for your rain forest outing!!!

  Carlos was amazing- so fun, knowledgeable and patient with our kids (12 and 8), especially helping our 8yo find the courage to do the waterslide and cliff jump.

  Great Experience. Shaly was a great guide. Pleasant, energetic, knowledgable. With it being a private tour, we were able to get there early, beat the crowds, and really enjoy the experience. Highly Recommend.

  This tour exceeded our expectations! Ricky was a thoughtful, courteous and knowledgeable guide. All the other tour guides told us that Ricky is the best and we agree! We took our 7 year old son and this tour was perfect for him. Ricky took time with him to teach about the rainforest. We slid down the waterside, jumped off the ledge and swung on the rope swim. This was our favorite activity of our vacation!

  The highlight of our visit to Puerto Rico! Andrea, our guide, was outstanding. She set the tone for the day with her upbeat attitude and positive energy. Her knowledge of all things rainforest was quite impressive. Along our hike, she explained things clearly (watch out for pica-pica) and literally provided step-by-step directions on how to move safely through the river and over the various boulders. She was also a great photographer and cheerleader during water activities. And to top it all off, she took us to a wonderful place for lunch afterwards: Edelweiss in Luquillo, where we had the favorite meal of our entire visit to Puerto Rico. It was a great day, and we can't recommend Andrea highly enough!

  Mitchell was the best guide so far and we’ve done this tour before. He was extremely knowledgeable, tailored the hike to our interest, and made it fun. He also took us to eat the best lobster on the island! My son said, this was the best way to greet the New Year!! Mil gracias, Mitchell.

  Our trip was excellent! Our guide Andrea was so friendly and knowledgeable. This was definitely an active adventure and we loved it! So did our kids! It was so nice going with a small private group. We were able to jump, swing and slide into the cool rain forest pools as much as we liked. Great experience, amazing guide, highly recommend this tour!
