  Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef is one of those romantic bucket list items. But due to an incoming tropical storm threatening to become a cyclone, all water operations were cancelled for our 2 days. To salvage our visit we checked with Nautilus to do a helicopter ride ahead of the storm to at least see the reef by air. Bobby immediately sorted us out and got us onto a tour within that afternoon. Michael the pilot was great, took us all along Arlington Reef and Green Island. We would have preferred to be swimming with the fishes, but appreciate Nautilus coming to our rescue.

  Best ever !! What an experience, massive Manta Rays, like monstrous! Totally stoked. Pilot was all time fun and interactive. Pilot John N was cool as an office crew / ground crew so friendly and organised. We got the best weather too which was a lot of luck !

  The pilot was very experienced and knowledgeable. Ample time to take plenty of amazing photos as the scenery was spectacular. Seating arrangement in the helicopter meant everyone had a great view out the windows. Highly recommend this tour.

  We didn't have the smoothest of starts as we booked for 1 day but then had an email to say they couldn't do that date/time so had to change it. As with many people we had a full itinerary so had to change everything around and ended up missing something else we had wanted to do. The ground staff and pilot were excellent I would give them 5 out of 5. The flight itself was good but the helicopter has a middle seat which we were not made aware of so my wife had a real issue seeing as she had to lean over me constantly and couldn't see many things the pilot pointed out. Additionally I was sat across from a chap around the same height as me (6ft) and there was simply not enough room which made for a very uncomfortable flight, I would think about that if your looking to book as it did spoil the flight for me as I was uncomfortable for 45 mins.

  Seamless booking procedure from the start. Easy to check in at Cairns. Pilot John was great and accommodating. We only did the reef as we’d had a trip to the rain forest in the morning. Highly recommend. Good partnership between Viator and Nautilus. Thank you
