  Enjoyed tour of alcatraz island. Did not like that the various presentations were at different locations which caused transiting back and forth across the island.   We did the night tour. Sun was setting as we made our way across the bay. It added an eeriness to it that the day wouldn’t have provided. Plan on staying for a while after the tour, and move around what you can on your own. We tried to catch the first ferry back, and feel like we missed something’s. We unfortunately were pressed for time. The audio tour explained a lot, and getting to be there was nice. Also, knowing your $ goes to keeping this historical site a float is nice.

  The tour was great. We went on the night tour and really got a good feel for the atmosphere. The audio was well done and very informative. The views of San Fran at night were amazing. I enjoyed every minute of it. Loved the extra informational chats.

  Absolutely loved the audio tour, the demonstration of the doors and the view of the hospital section. It was nice to be at the park during a time where it wasn’t quite as packed

  My family and I had a great time exploring the grounds of Alcatraz in August, 2024. I highly recommend the night tour for a spookier, more solemn experience. Be prepared for the cooler temps and wind by bringing a jacket. There's also a fair amount of walking uphill, but there is also a shuttle you can take if walking isn't manageable for you. We enjoyed the experience!

  When this is offered as a Alcatraz night tour with SF bay Cruise why would u think it’s 2 different things and times??? I paid $150 for to only go to Alcatraz Now Alcatraz was great but not for $150 each ticket I got tickets saying that it started at 7:05pm No where was it clear that the SF bay cruise needed to be done prior So we didn’t get to go on cruise But only to Alcatraz !!! Too much money for that !!!! Not happy !!!!
