  This was the absolute best tour I have ever taken! I had ideas of what I wanted to see and do and Experienced Tours exceeded those ideas! Our guide, Debbie, picked us up directly at our hotel, eliminating any stress about a meeting spot. In our day together, we covered everything we wanted to see and so much more.   We had a wonderful day in Edinburgh with Experienced Tours. Our guide Calais picked us up at the hotel in the morning, kilt and all, and it quickly became clear that he was far more than an ordinary tour guide. His warmth, humour, and natural social skills made us feel genuinely welcomed, giving us a real taste of Scottish hospitality. The day covered all the highlights: the main sights, the different quarters of the city, the Castle, and the HMY Britannia at her berth in Leith - with a few well-chosen pub stops along the way. Through Calais's engaging manner we also picked up a great deal about Scotland and its people, peppered with fascinating trivia about the city and its history. As a final touch, before dropping us back at the hotel, he took us to one of the older parts of town, where we stood on a beautiful stone bridge over the Water of Leith and raised a glass of whisky. A perfect way to end a perfect day. Highly recommended!

  We had an incredible time with Debbie. She was knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us the perfect balance of guided tour and allowing us to wonder ourselves. The van was clean and very nice! Highly recommend. Would definitely plan another tour with them.

  Our day-long Speyside outing with Experienced Tours was the centerpiece of a week's vacation in the highlands for four couples and grown children from America and the UK. Sandy and his team were great to work with. They customized a fascinating day for our interests, including visits to famous distilleries (Glenlivet and Aberlour), a small, up-and-coming premium distillery (Ballindalloch), Speyside Cooperage to see the amazing barrel-makers in action, and a delicious lunch at the Spey Inn. We had the surprise of meeting the charming owners of Ballindalloch during our visit there--I'm not sure Experienced can guarantee that every time :-). Our driver/guides Ben and Alan were fun, expert, and creative, and the vans were deluxe. The day was everything we hoped for!   when i say this was the highlight of our 10 days in the UK, i’m not exaggerating. we had the best day with laura doing a full day private tour. first, she took us to the store for cash and baby snacks (by our request, haha). next, we saw stirling castle, stopped for lunch in callander (mhor bread omg!), ate lunch by a gorgeous loch, and then fed some heilan coos (highland cows). the private transportation was excellent with two toddlers, and laura was so easy going and accommodating for our group. i would recommend this one to anyone and my only sadness is that we didn’t have more time together.

  We booked this tour based on the recommendation of an Edinburgh local. It was easily one of the biggest highlights of our trip. Sandy was extremely helpful and crafted a personalized tour based specifically on our group (2 adults, 3 kids, 2 grandparents). He was very responsive via email and very flexible with the booking. Calais was an awesome guide. He was very patient and humorous. He’s also extremely knowledgeable about the history of Scotland. It was great to tour Stirling Castle, plus several towns and historic sites with our own private guide. I looked at several options online. This easily beats a large charter bus tour that wastes a significant amount of time just loading and unloading. I’m 6’6” tall and having a comfortable van with lots of room for everyone made this trip so much more enjoyable. TLDR; I would not hesitate to recommend this trip again!   We had a lovely time with our tour. The tour was so informative, and very well suited to our group. The vans were very comfortable. I had trouble walking, and they were fantastic getting us up to each location, ensuring I could see everything. I highly recommend this company.
