  My family wanted to visit the tide pools during our vacation but we had no idea what we were doing so when we saw this experience we jumped on it! SO GLAD we did! Matt was amazing. He was friendly, knowledgeable and clearly enjoys what he does. We saw so many things we would have just walked past otherwise. I highly recommend this experience, especially if it’s your first time.

  Matt was very knowledgeable and fun. He shared the underwater world with us and taught us how to safely and respectfully interact with it. The kids loved it! Matt even took pictures with his GoPro that he shared with us after! Such a thoughtful touch. I would definitely recommend for all ocean lovers.

  Our 12 yo grandson says: Jackson was nice, kind, and fun to be around. He made it easy for me to learn. I agree! Living in MN we don’t do much surfing; this was a wonderful first experience for Callen.

  This was such a great family experience in San Diego! Matt was very knowledgeable, and helped us spot animals we never would have recognized on our own. The La Jolla Tide Pools are absolutely beautiful, and we enjoyed the photo album Matt included to help us remember our time and all of the creatures we saw!

  Matt was extremely knowledgable and taught about the tide pools in a manner that showed both his background as a marine biologist and as a teacher. The group consisted of people of all ages, from those with no background to people like our family, who work professionally with animals and in the sciences. We all learned a lot! Matt was funny, informative and made everyone feel included. Fascinating activity, and for very low cost, too. Just wish it could have lasted longer! Thanks, Matt!
