  Great time! A simple tour but so much to see and history to be told. The Diocletian Palace is an amazing hub of Croatia/Split's old-world history. Every turn of the corner is another facet of history and it's remarkable to see in person and contemplate the centuries of history you're witnessing firsthand. Our guide was super informative and personable, making the tour even better. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cultural history lesson that doesn't drag on too long.

  It was very easy to book with clear instructions on where to meet the tour guide. Our guide Mia is a native of Split & was both knowledgeable, easy to understand & even gave us some tips on eateries etc. We really appreciated the small group tour as it was very busy in Split (September). Once again Viator has been a great experience.

  Ante was a fantastic tour guide. Born and lived all his life he gives a great insight of the history of Split and it's part in Croatian history. We actually got a lot more information that expected, due to his extensive knowledge. Thank you Ante!

  This tour was the absolute highlight of our time in Split! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging—bringing the rich history of Diocletian’s Palace to life with stories, legends, and fun facts we never would have discovered on our own. Walking through the ancient stone streets, we felt like we were stepping back in time. The pace was perfect, and the group size allowed for easy interaction and questions. We appreciated the thoughtful mix of historical insight and cultural context, from Roman architecture to Game of Thrones trivia.   The tour guide was lovely and quite knowledgeable, but whoever set it up overbooked, we had a very large crowd. The guides had to split into two still large groups, so it was not the experience that I was anticipating.

  Our guide was a wealth of information including providing a good overview of Split’s succession of rulers and an explanation of its status as a living museum. Learning about Diocletian was a highlight. His practical recommendations for other activities in Split were helpful for the rest of our stay.
