What To Expect

何世紀にも渡って職人技が受け継がれてきた歴史ある京都で、日本語刃物の技を体験。日本屈指の工芸の根底にある基本技術を学ぶ体験型ワークショップ。伝統的な道具や材料の紹介の後、ステップバイステップの指導を受けながら、自分のナイフの成形や改良を体験します。経験不要で、初心者でも気軽に参加でき、クラフト愛好家も参加しやすい。落ち着いたサポート体制の中で快適なペースで作業を進めます。質問や写真撮影の時間もあります。体験の最後には、手作りのナイフを持ち帰ってください。意義深く実用的な京都土産です。

Had a really good time, you can choose your style of knife and handle, get to sharpen the blade, hammer the handle in and finish it with some oil. Wil, Rekha and Salome were great guides, chatty and nice. Fully recommend

All of the staff that was in, Patrick, France and will, were super nice and attentive. My mom and I took a knife sharpening class and were coached through the whole process by Patrick, who made everything super fun! Overall such a great experience that I for sure recommend trying.
