  Active Adventures organised an excellent tour that perfectly combined trekking and cultural experiences. They took the time to understand our interests and tailored the trip to what we were truly looking for. The accommodations they selected were outstanding. Our stays at the Dolkhar Resort in Leh, The Kyagar in Nubra Valley, and Arco Hotel in Sonamarg were all excellent choices and greatly enhanced our experience. Our guide, Chodon, was highly professional, knowledgeable, and informative throughout the journey. We spent 15 unforgettable days in Ladakh, and even then, we wished we could have stayed longer. We fell in love with the people, breathtaking landscapes, monasteries, and rich culture of Ladakh. The warmth and hospitality of the local communities made a lasting impression on us. We especially enjoyed the hiking, rafting, and mountain biking downhill adventures. Special thanks to our driver, Stanzin, and the entire Active Adventures team for making our holiday truly memorable. We still cherish the wonderful memories of Ladakh and hope to return one day.

  I recently completed a 18-day tour through Ladakh in April with Active Adventure, and it was a very positive experience. The trip was well-organized and specifically tailored to my interests, which made the long itinerary feel manageable and personalized. Dorjay, the owner, was easy to work with from the start. He was flexible when I needed to make adjustments during the trip and checked in regularly to make sure everything was running smoothly. His proactive follow-ups were appreciated and ensured there were no logistical issues. My driver, Ali, was excellent. He knows the local routes very well, which is essential in this region, and he is a safe, reliable driver. He also kindly helped me take quite a few photos along the way, which was a nice bonus for a solo traveler. Overall, Active Adventure is a trustworthy agency. • Great experience with Dorjay and team

  We did a private 6-day Ladakh tour in the first week of April, and it was an amazing experience. We completely fell in love with the landscapes, mountains, and snow. The scenery is truly something special and unlike anywhere else. Dorjay was very responsive right from our first conversation. He was patient throughout the planning and made sure everything was smooth. Even when we had to wait for permits after landing on a Sunday, he handled it without any issues. Just something to note—if you arrive on a weekend, check in advance about permit timings, especially during the off-season. A special mention for our driver, Phuntsog. Some parts of the roads were not easy to navigate, but he handled everything very well. We always felt safe and never rushed during the trip. He also kept the car clean every day, which we really appreciated. We booked our own hotels and only needed a car with a driver. We chose a Fortuner, and the car was new and very comfortable for the terrain. Since it was still not peak season, many restaurants in Leh and smaller towns were not open. We mostly ate at the hotels we stayed in, which worked out fine. Overall, Ladakh was a great experience, and everything was well managed. We would definitely recommend Dorjay and his team—no need to look further.

  The days with my guide were actually the best in my whole Ladakh trip. He welcomed me by picking me up from the airport and helped me with finding a beautiful and cheap home stay and with everything i had to do.. SIM card, taxi ride to other places in Ladakh etc. He also showed me some interesting places in leh:) you really feel that he’s Not doing all that for money but to leave you a great experience and memory!! It was interesting to talk about the culture and Buddhism as well. More like a friend than a guide🫶🏻 thank you!!

  delivered, anticipated, reacted,..., all our needs and requests. we had a wonderful trip in Ladakh covering 1500 km in 15 days with our driver Ilias. can't stress the importance of the driver who became advisor, photographer, guide and much more. this is all of about trust and they delivered!

  We had the most wonderful holiday in magical Ladakh. The experience exceeded my family's expectations who, safe to say, were blown away, even though the weather threatened to play spoilsport on occasion. Thank you to Thinlay Dorje at Active Adventure for organising everything seamlessly - from air ticket booking, airport pickup and drop, the very well maintained vehicle for our travels, and to the permits that were required for travel to the more remote regions. Stobdan, our driver over nearly 4 days, was thoroughly professional, a gentleman and an excellent driver. The choice of hotels that Active Adventures works with was great too, and we had a great experience at each of them (at Leh, Nubra Valley, and Pangong Lake). Thinlay himself was courteous and very responsive to our requests, and I would not hesitate in recommending him to others who are looking to travel to Ladakh. We ended our trip without a single glitch and with memories to last a lifetime.
