• Disappointing for time involved.

  We saw lots of publicity for the ‘Road to Hana’ so decided to drive it ourselves. It’s a lengthy drive on a bendy small road and not very inspiring. The end stop doesn’t have much to do and along the route there is little of interest. On one bend is a very small waterfall where one can take pictures. Overall we felt the time would be far better spent at other locations without driving for hours. Tour companies pad the (Long) day with park visits but the road itself isn’t very picturesque.

  This was an amazing tour. Because we went on this private tour we can take as much time as we wanted at all the stops. Our guide Howard was a local and told us stories about everything. He was knowledgeable and friendly. We all enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend using them and requesting Howard. A must on your trip to Maui!

  Very knowledgeable guide-Carlton. Tour was 8 hours so be prepared. One lane bridges. Beautiful scenery. Carlton has driven the road to Hana for a number of years. He had a lot of very interesting information about people and things along the way. Would highly recommend Carlton.

  Best decision made for road to Hana. I took my 2 grandchildren, ages 18 and 23 to Maui for their graduations. Since I have walking issues, I decided the private tour would work best. Gosh! was I right!! We had Carlton and he was the best. My granddaughter wanted to jump from one of the waterfall cliffs and he even jumped with her. He was knowledgeable and very nice. would highly recommend this tour and ask for Carlton. He won't disappoint you.

  In June my sister and I and our three nieces traveled to Maui for a trip-of-a-lifetime vacation! We decided to book the private 'Road to Hana' tour to accommodate my teenage nieces and their wish to see black-sand beaches and spend extra time at this spot. We were also able to determine the pace of the Tour and the preferred stops. David, our driver, arrived on time in a beautiful luxurious mini-motorcoach with snacks and beverages as promised in the tour description. He was a safe and conscientious driver, and most importantly, extremely knowledgeable on the history of Maui, Road to Hana and general tour information. It was a very long day, but I am so happy we decided to do the private Tour and highly recommend this tour company and our driver David!

  Kevin went above a beyond to make sure we had a good day. The road to Hana was closed after we had gone half way there. We had to travel back the way we had already come, at this point I'm sure most other tours would have taken the easier route and done some random sites, not our guy we continued going the back way where many times there was no pavement - it was a extra long day but awesome the kids got to swim and dive in the seven sacred pools. awesome Trip

  A great day from start to finish. We arranged to be picked up at 8am and that is exactly when Denis met us. He was extremely friendly and was determined to make sure that my husband and I had a great day. This was one drive we didn't want to do and Viator found a great local company to do this for us. During the day, we made stops at places that we had researched as well as places that Denis suggested. If you have any trepidation about doing this drive, take this tour! As a bonus, the water and snacks are a great touch!
