  As a very experienced world traveler, i have worked with dozens of local guides. Rachel Chen and her Culture Curious team was among the best guiding experiences I have ever had. Over three days, my family (age from 22 to 85) were informed, fed, assisted, and thrilled. Rachel and her team were informed and wise not only about landmark history, but also the intricacies of the Singapore economy and government. Energetic, enthusiastic, charming and wise, Rachel is the “real deal”. I requested proposals for 3 days of touring from three local campaigners. Culture Curious responded promptly with a thoughtful program at a reasonable price. An added bonus was Rachel quickly responding to “local knowledge” pre-arrival questions on restaurants, taxis and special events.   The tour was an excellent way to start our time in Singapore. Rachell is an outstanding guide and provided us with an overview of all the neighborhoods, the history and the planning of Singapore. We spent time in Chinatown and lived it and then toured the colonial neighborhood. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was exceptional and she provided an excellent first day !

  Iris was a wonderful tour guide. Very knowledgeable and so pleasant to be with learning more about the history and beauty of Singapore. She also knew the “shortcuts” to keep us cool and in the shade during our walking tour of the city during a warm part of the afternoon!

  We had such a great tour with Rachel. We learned so much and were able to see so many highlights of Singapore during our walking tour. Rachel is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and wonderful guide. Also provided us with many great suggestions and places to eat while we are here.   Rachel was fabulous. We spent 4 hrs with her exploring parts of Singapore we hadn’t experienced yet. And she tweaked parts for us with areas of interest we had. And she then gave us recommendations for eating which were excellent.

  Rachel was fantastic. She reached out to me shortly after booking the tour to provide options and understand what we wanted to see most in Singapore given the time available. She was highly knowledgeable about the development and history of the city, and showed us some of the cultural highlights we were hoping to see.   We booked a half-day private city tour, during which we explored Chinatown and the Civic District together. The company’s website is informative, and the booking and payment process was extremely convenient and straightforward. Prior to our scheduled date, our tour guide, Rachel, contacted us to go over all the details. Rachel was simply fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about the city’s history, religious, and cultural traditions. She structured the city tour perfectly, included breaks, took wonderful photos of us, and paid special attention to the needs of our 6-year-old son. It was an extremely interesting and informative half-day; we had a great time, and I highly recommend both the company and Rachel to everyone.
