5.00Hunter was an awesome guide and instructor. Not only did he coach our group through every wave but he made the entire time a blast, making sure we all had a great time regardless of skill level or number of wipeouts.

5.00Hunter with La Vida Laguna was an amazing surf instructor! It was my first time surfing and swells were larger than normal but I wanted to surf. Hunter walked me through each surf step and made sure I caught the right waves for my level of experience. It was so fun, I had a blast! Highly recommend.

5.00Instructor B was amazing with my teen for her 1st surf lesson. He was friendly, fun and yet still professional. He had a playful energy, which was helpful for the amount of times a beginner has to wipe-out and then immediately try (and try) again. Oh, and her lesson also included (at no extra cost) playful dolphins just feet away! Plus, giant cranes diving nearby, so many other birds and colorful fish in the beautiful blue-green waves. My daughter is requesting we visit again this year for another lesson. If we travel this way again, La Vida Laguna will absolutely be on our travel plans!

5.00**My wife and I had a great time learning to surf with our instructor Hunter on the 4th of July this year. Laguna Beach is the most beautiful beaches I have seen and the vibe of the small oceanside town is very chill. I didn’t use a wetsuit bc I live colder water and found it to be refreshing. My wife and I appreciated Hunter”s patience and enjoyed having with him for 2 hours. We highly recommended this company and him!.

5.00Surfing is not for me but I still had a great time! The size of the waves were a bit overwhelming but my instructor did a great job of working with me to get past that. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for surf lessons.

5.00Best afternoon. Instructors were fantastic! Got up on a bunch of waves beautiful beach! Great area to spend the entire day. 2 hours perfect amount of time in the water for a beginner.
It was going so SWELL until this wave showed up.

5.00There is nobody, and I mean nobody as professional and knowledgeable as Jaeson. Do yourself a favor when visiting Laguna Beach and spend a couple of delightful hours learning to surf like a pro.

5.00My son (20) had a total blast on the water with Shane. This was my son’s first surf lesson but thanks to Shane’s patience and instructions, he was able to catch several waves. It was exciting for me too, though as mom had to keep a low profile. Still managed some nice photos to commemorate the occasion. Thank you Shane!

5.00My 12-yr-old daughter's confidence soared after her 2 hours in the water with Shane. I arrived just in time to see her catching her first of three waves. I watched Shane coach her on getting her board past the break. How well he'd set her up for success by patiently waiting for the right wave, changing their location, giving her a little push so she'd carry momentum into the surf. When she was done, it was clear that she had absorbed all the teaching: how to read the ocean, how to choose a wave, all of it. It was genuinely lovely to see. We were both very glad she experienced it.
