• A super guide and enjoyable hike

  Apart from the fog which obstructed the long distance views this was an excellent hike of around 12km up and down Tiger Hill, which the very competent and pleasant guide kindly extended to 15 km with a walk back to my hotel along the ridge behind the town. Ujjwal Giri, the guide, was exceptionally helpful, particularly when he realised that my plans to return to Kolkata would not work as I had expected. We walked up through fir and bamboo forests, across an open plateau with views over the surrounding foothills of the Himalayas and even a quick glimpse, when the fog cleared briefly, of the Kanchenjunga peaks, then via a different route back through the forest. I learnt about the regional culture, the trees, plants, birds and animals and the development of mountaineering and trekking in the area. All in all a wonderful introduction to the area. I am a woman over 70 but fairly fit. I believe that Ujjwal can adapt to a wide range of fitness levels.

  Excellent tour guide. Seriously awesome. I am a solo traveler who wanted an opportunity to explore Darjeeling's beautiful landscape. The tour guide arrived on time, was very friendly, and spoke excellent English. I also got an opportunity to practice some of my mediocre Hindi as well. The guide ensured that you were prepared for the hike, was flexible to evolving needs, and was very familiar with the area. This guide was a professional, able to answer questions and providing insight as to the history of the area and the culture of Darjeeling as well. He knew both common and unfamiliar landmarks and pointed them out along the way. Highly recommend for solo travelers, would likely be awesome with families as well. Also, the guide was great with photos. I have some awesome shots from the hike. Darjeeling a very beautiful. Do this tour. You will not regret.

  Tiger hill is famous for its sunrise view, as on your right-hand side there is sunrise hue is coming up in the sky and its first rays touch Kanchenjunga mountain. Very know place to visit. We should reach with 3:30 am. After few moment we will see the one of the best view on the earth. The beauty of kanchanjunga Fascinated you. You just lost your word to describe this beautiful view.
