The cooking class was wonderful. We were able to cook 6 different dishes with the host together. And she explained everything very detailed and answered all of our questions. The food was tasty and it was a fun experience.

Verna was a superb host and wonderful teacher. She showed us how to make some Kerala classics like dosa, avyal, Kerala rice and fish fry. Her home is lovely, she inspired us to try this at home and I would encourage you to take the tour.
Highly recommend!

Veena taught us Kerala home cooking. She was a wonderful teacher and taught us a variety of things, including seasonings and vegetables, the health benefits of food, and the daily life of a woman with a family. She even made masala tea in between cooking, and it was really fun to cook while chatting. In addition to the recipes originally planned, she also taught us coconut chutney. All the food was delicious!

What a wonderful experience! We were so fortunate to take the cooking class today! Much more than learning some cooking techniques, getting to know new ingredients and new, local dishes, cooking along with our host and of course, enjoying a delicious meal in the end, we found the entire experience fascinating. We entered a local home, worked together with our host in her beautiful, spacious kitchen, and were able to talk with her for several hours about everything. What a great way to learn about the local culture, tradition, and life in general! It is an experience that shouldn't be missed, even if cooking is not your thing.

It's a great experience. The lady who welcomed us to her house was adorable. She had planned all the ingredients to make 7 recipes including a special one for large events. The class lasts between 3 and 4 hours. Everything is done from scratch. Everything was explained very well. The kitchen is really suitable and well equipped. At the end of class, we have the pleasure of consuming what we have done. It was delicious. To be repeated for other recipes.

A brilliant cooking class! We made 6 traditional Keralan dishes and learnt a lot about the nutritional benefits of various ingredients. Each was explained well so you could easily recreate at home. Would 100% recommend this experience, we’re very glad we did this during our time in Munnar!

If you want to get a crash course in Kerala cooking, this experience would be absolutely up your alley. It is done in a home so already you feel like you’re part of a family and that you are cooking a family meal. My family is originally from this area, but I have never lived here. Having this cooking lesson has given me some tools to try and replicate my mother’s cooking . It’s also very hands on which is great. I would absolutely recommend this to anybody.

A wonderful and very interesting experience. Anagha kindly and thoroughly introduced us to homemade Keralan cuisine. She led us to preparing a few local dishes. And she answer a lot of questions we had. I particularly liked the fact that it was a properly hands-on experience - from veg cutting to coconut shredding, we got to do it all. Her family were extremely kind and hospitable. It was a Perfect day - First a halfday-day Trekking and After them a cooking Class. The Food we made was very delicious. Recomend it to anyone willing to learn and experience local cuisine.
