• Beautiful Views, Small Group, and Lots of Wildlife

  The BrushBuck 4 Day, 3 Night Yellowstone and Grand Teton Tour packed in plenty of gorgeous views in a giant looping route that covers most of the major routes through Yellowstone. Our guide, Marcus, was very nice and accommodating to our wildlife-crazy group, being able to almost supernaturally scout bears, foxes, coyotes, and mountain goats from very far away. We saw grizzlies, coyotes chasing after a pronghorn, and a pack of wolves (albeit the size of fleas). The guide also went beyond the call by helping a group member procure medication that they left behind and made sure everyone got copies of the amazing videos and photos that he was able to capture (and my phone certainly could not). The most strenuous activity this tour requires is mostly getting on and off the rather cramped van constantly, so know that this is not a hiking tour. Hotel accommodations were nice; better than expected. Well organized and no issues of concern.

  I can't recommend this highly enough! Our tour guide Rachel was incredible, she was an expert in history, geography, biology and geology of the area and has a ton of experience in other national parks as well and gave me some great advice for Yosemite and Big Sur. We saw every animal on my bucket list and more, and we also had a really fantastic small group of people so the bus rides were fun and informative. Yellowstone and Grand Teton are incredible but doing it on your own without a guide would make it difficult to see everything. Rachel had all the intel about what was happening, e.g a bison carcass is currently at location X with a pack of wolves and she would get us straight there before anyone else. The 4 day tour was the right length in my opinion - we were able to see everything and we weren't rushed.

  I went on the 4-day Grand Teton and Yellowstone tour guided by Anthony, and it was an incredible experience. We saw an amazing variety of wildlife, and Anthony seemed to know exactly where and when to find animals in every area of the parks we visited. We saw plenty of bison, bears, bighorn sheep, pronghorns, elk, moose, and numerous bird species. We were able to get as close as safely possible to many of them, which made the experience especially thrilling. While we visited Old Faithful and several other geothermal features, the real highlight of this tour is the wildlife. If seeing animals in their natural habitat is your priority, this tour delivers. The hotels were charming and conveniently located, and the small group size made the experience even more enjoyable. I can’t recommend Anthony highly enough—he is extremely knowledgeable about both the wildlife and the parks, and he did an excellent job keeping the group organized and on schedule throughout the trip. If possible, request Anthony as your guide. He truly made an outstanding tour even better.

  An excellent tour guide for the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. He was knowledgeable about the sites where one has the best chance of seeing specific animals. We saw grizzly bears crossing the road on two occasions, an interaction between a grizzle and sandhill crane defending their nest, elk (bull, herds of cow elk with calves), multiple black bears, moose (bull and cow), literally hundreds of bison (one swimming across a river) with numerous calves, one wolf, sandhill cranes with chick, fox, herds of pronghorns, multiple groups of Bighorn Sheep, coyotes, mule deer, and one snake while we walking a boardwalk around one of the hot springs. In addition to the many animal sightings, Anthony explained the history of the national parks, how the hot springs and geysers worked, how the colors in the various hot pools were formed, the history behind the names of various mountains, rivers and valleys, and background on preserving the beauty and uniqueness of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. One morning we visited the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, and it was well worth the visit. The native artifacts and other displays of the west were exceptional. Anthony treated all of us on the tour with the utmost respect. The tour organization was excellent. Each night we stayed in a hotel near the section of the park that we were to visit the following day, which minimized the travel time to get to these sections and maximize the time in the park. For lunches and suppers, Anthony would point out the options at the various establishments and offer recommendations, which were spot on. For the 3.5-day tour, two days were rainy. Well, rainy for me is preferred as the rain with the cooler temperatures (end of May tour date) resulting in greater numbers of animal sightings. Anthony explained that bright sunshine with higher temperatures generally reduces animal movement with subsequent lower sightings of the animals. The tour company provided very good binoculars so if you visit, you can leave your binoculars at home. Snacks and drinks (soft drinks and water) were also provided during the trip. For our tour trip, we arrived the day before the tour around 4 pm. The distance between the airport and Jackson is around 10 miles so we were able to check into our hotel and still have time to walk around the town. The next day we started the tour in the afternoon so we had the morning to continue our walking tour of Jackson.

  Brushback Tours meticulously performs all the logistics and travel details- allowing the tourist to see all the landmarks in Grand Teton, and a significant number in Yellowstone. The number of beautiful scenic spots and the number & varied animals staggers the mind. Our guide Diego provided detailed explanations of the geology, weather, and animals.   Our guide, Kyle, was very knowledgeable about the area as well as wildlife. He was personable and funny, in a jolly kind of way! We could not believe all the sitings - bear, moose, wolves, cranes, etc. It was totally unexpected that we would see everything. The lodging was rustic, like the area.

  This tour is an amazing experience. Kyle our tour guide did such a wonderful job. He was so knowledgeable about not only the animals bur also the history of the areas we visited. He was an amazing spotter and showed us animals we would have never seen on our own. He made sure that if we had any thing specific we wanted to see animals or sites He did everything he could for us to see them. My bucket list animal was wolves and Kyle did everything in his power to deliver and he did. 100% would do thos tour again with Kyle.

  Pat our guide was the best! We knew we would enjoy the trip, but never would have expected what a fantastic experience we would have. Pat was knowledgeable in the wildlife we saw as well as the history and background of each area visited. He made each stop a personal one with the stories he told and the tips he gave for memorable restaurants and shops to visit. We highly recommend BrushBuck (and Pat) for an out of this world vacation that will keep you talking to your friends and colleagues!

  My wife and I booked a trip with BrushBuck earlier this year. We had never been to Yellowstone or the Tetons but we had always wanted to go and see the wonder and beauty everyone spoke of. While we were out west we planned to see some other points of interest like Custer State Park, Deadwood, Devil’s Tower, Spearfish Canyon, Estes Park and Rocky Mountain Park. We met our guide Pat on our first day for an afternoon view of the Teton’s. Pat was a truly awesome and wonderful guide. He attended college in Colorado and grabbed a degree in biology. You can tell he has continued his learning and curriculum since he graduated. His knowledge of the parks, their history, the wildlife, their habits, routines, fish, birds, animals, and flora was immense! I love to learn new things and I asked a ton of questions. He knew all the answers! Pat anticipated all of the groups needs and was very interested in what everyone wanted to spend time looking at. He was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He kept us on a schedule, did an excellent job spotting wildlife and making sure everyone had an opportunity to view it and get all the pictures and videos they wanted. My wife and I didn’t know what to expect but I can’t say enough about our experience with BrushBuck and Pat.
