5.00I visited Edinburgh Castle on an unusually sunny day. Yet the real sunshine was definitely our amazing tour guide Amile (? spelled right) - she was so knowledgeable, funny and enthusiastic! Her stories were amazing and she had obviously done a lot of research rather than repeat stuff from a script. The Castle itself is fascinating with all the history and fantastic exhibits. Allow at least 2 more hours after the guided tour.

4.00Amelie was a great storyteller. But this is more of a climbing tour than a walking tour. Between the vast steep inclines and the rough uneven cobblestones, many of which are the slanted areas where stories are told, anyone with walking challenges may need to consider. And you do need to walk about 5 minutes from the meeting point to the castle.
