• It was a wonderful time with our fun guide!

  Due to the approaching typhoon, we only had a canoe tour through the mangroves from sightseeing on the three islands, but we were able to have a good time with the kind response of the guide and the talk that kept us occupied. The mangrove experience itself was a very good memory, with spectacular scenery and the exhilaration of canoeing on the water! Thank you very much.

  Kayaking in the mangroves was fun and enjoyed the challenge of navigating around the trees. Unfortunately two of the women’s showers didn’t work so it took a long time and the shower room has visible mold on a wall. Barasu Island kayaking was cancelled so I joined the bus trip to Yubu Island via water buffalo cart instead which was crowded, hot, a bit smelly and all in Japanese. I still had fun taking the cart and in Yubu.

  Awesome experience with our instructor Jun. Have never explored a mangrove forest before and so it was a very unique experience. We took our kayaks through a challenging route - very narrow paths between the mangroves. It would be so easy to get lost if it wasn’t for our guide. Next we went back to town for lunch / free time - though many places were not open on a Thursday lunch. We ended up in a small soba place and also visiting the local supermarket. After lunch was snorkelling with the same instructor - he made sure everyone was prepared and comfortable with the gear and we were ready to go. We saw so many fish it was like being in an aquarium! And the coral was magnificent - underwater beauty everywhere you looked. Only issue was that it was too short! We were back at 3 when we could have stayed happily until 4pm!

  We sup in the morning and canyoned in the afternoon! It was my first time to sup, but I could afford it! It was laid back, the weather was good, the wind was pleasant and the climate relaxed my mind! Canyoning is the best way to dive! The city girl who got tired of roller coaster is by all means jumping in 🙋‍♀️

  Thank you for the tour! I went as a solo traveller and even if I didn’t speak Japanese I had a lot of fun. Mangrove canoeing was a new experience and we saw a lot of different animals on the way. My guide Tomochin was very kind and fun. He sent many photos about our day. The nearby typhoon cancelled the section to Yubu island but this tour made the trip to iriomote worth it even in bad weather.

  I enjoyed canoeing. I’m glad they explained everything, whether it was traveling by bus or exploring the mangroves! The buffalo was cute♪

  We were worried about the weather because a typhoon was coming, but the day turned out to be a beautiful, clear day! On the morning mangrove tour, we took a leisurely canoe and SUP ride through the sunlight filtering through the trees to the waterfall. We had a great time listening to the guide's stories and getting splashed by the waterfall. In the afternoon, we went to Miracle Island. Because of the tide, it felt more like a sandy beach than an island, but we had a great time watching the fish! (The waves were a little high.) The guide repeatedly called out to us about dangerous points and points to be careful of, so we felt at ease knowing that safety was being taken into consideration.

  I participated with my children! We had a wonderful time exploring the nature of the mangrove forest, canoeing, and splashing in the waterfall! Thanks to our guide, Mr. Chiba, who was kind, polite, interesting, and fun, it became a wonderful memory. I'm glad we got lots of photos.
