• Incredible desert adventure

  Our trip through the Western Desert was one of the highlights of our 3 weeks in Egypt. Both the Black and White deserts are amazing and incredibly beautiful. We absolutely loved our first night spend in Agabat Valley, where we didn't see another soul the whole time. We had fennec foxes come up to our camp in the evening, so cool! We had incredible night skies, complete with the Milky Way and shooting stars, and at one point on the first morning before anyone awoke, I sat and just listened to the sound of complete silence. Amazing. From what we gathered, the one night tours don't go to Agabat (or maybe just skim it), so the 2 night is definitely the way to go, especially as we were able to make as many stops for photos and walks as we wanted. Desert Safari Home is a family business, and Mohammed grew up accompanying his dad on tours, so you can't find a more experienced guide! They organized our transportation from Cairo, which was seamless. We had organized a different onward transport ourselves, and while we waited for our driver to arrive, Mohammed's family generously gave us some falafel sandwiches and tea.   This tour with Mohammed and his cousin was just awesome! We’re still amazed by all the beautiful nature we could see in the desert. In addition they prepared really delicious food for us and we could sleep under the stars. We would recommend this tour to everyone who loves adventures and who wants to calm down from the business of the daily life.
