  We had a great time on this tour and enjoyed the entire experience. We were taken around in a nice new vehicle that was comfortable and could handle the rough roads of madagascar. Our driver was Didi and he was very safe and considerate. The tours included were great. There was a great mixture of tours including a visit to a reptile sanctuary, a night time bush walk (pack a torch or headlamp to spot the nocturnal lemurs and chameleons!), a day time bush walk in Andisabe (also filled with lemurs, geckos, chameleons, nightjars etc), a tour of a reserve at a hotel and a tour of the queens palace in Antananarivo! We enjoyed our accomodation at Sifaka lodge where we could wind down in the room or play basketball, foosball or pool and drink a couple of drinks (these activities arent perfect but they have character and were still fun!) All of the meals provided were tasty and filling. Every staff member involved from tour guides to lodge staff were very kind and accommodating. We couldn't flaw it at all!

  It's slightly challenging to travel Madagascar as a solo, non-French speaker. Lionel helped me with logistics in both Andasibe and Nosy Be, and I would happily recommend his services.

• Up Close and Personal Experience with Lemurs!!

  We just returned home from Madagascar where we ended our trip with a private, 4 day tour of the National Parks in Andasibe. Lionel, from Maki Adventures, was the most amazing guide. From the second we booked, before we even left, he ensured personal contact on What's App to ensure all our MANY questions were answered and our experience would be maximized. Lionel was fun and funny, spoke perfect English, used all his local and guiding expertise to get the best, most informative nature guides available. If we showed a specific interest in something, Lionel would adjust the schedule to include it. The experienced guides he chose gave us up close and personal interaction with the Lemurs and limitless knowledge of all the plants and animals and insects in the park. Lionel ensured we had a great driver, Loic, to navigate our 4x4 on the harrowing Madagascar roads. Lionel ensured we were picked up and dropped off at the airport and stayed until we got through the gate!! Having Lionel was like having a favourite cousin show you around Madagascar. Since our return to Canada, Lionel still keeps in contact and has shared his great photos and videos with us. Thanks and love to Lionel and Maki Adventures!!!!

  I had an amazing experience on this three day trip. Lionel arrange a fabulous driver/guide Valerio to take me to Andasibe despite the recent unrest going on in Tana. Valerio was an excellent and safe and calm driver which was a great comfort. The tour itself was private which was also a great asset. Stop when you need to. Take a break at a local fruit stand or to take a photo of the numerous views along the way. The first day kicks off with an excellent stop at a reptile park where you will get your fix of amazing geckos and chameleons. Even a snake or two and some crocodiles as well as the biggest butterfly I’ve ever seen. Onwards to the accommodation. In this was the Sifaka Lodge. Lovely staff, calm setting without too many tourists like some of the places in the park. Nice menu too for the dinner. The bungalows are nice and large, all with internal toilets and showers. The restaurant area also has a nice large verandah to sit in for an afternoon drink or to wake up to with your breakfast. Andasibe does not disappoint and you will see the larger families of lemur’s and at night the mouse lemurs too. We saw a python just after it engulfed something and was trying to get it down! Moving on to the Lemur Island and crocodile park were also great. The Island is a place to get very close to the lemurs (no touching since covid) and you will see other species of lemur not seen in the main reserve. I especially loved the bamboo lemurs. The final day was a nice breakfast before the journey back to Tana for a look at the viewpoints and the Queens’s palace. This trip is a must for anyone passing through Tana. A really good idea for any kitesurfers in their way home after a trip. Just book your return flight a few days later and meet the guys as the airport when you fly in.   Lionel was a wonderful guide he made a perfect planning that allowed us to see the famous lemurs of madagascar, breathtaking road sites, and more. We stayed in excellent hotels and food was always good. Also he explain us all about madagascar.
