  First of all the job at the office was great, always answering all my questions and doubts, ready to fulfill my requests. Than the adventure begins and let me tell you, Daniel was our main guide and he was amazing, like all the troupe, second guide, porters and chef. There are no words to describe their love for the mountain, their knowledge of the filed and animals, their patience and support with us, always ready to help us in every way possible.. it’s not easy but they made easier for sure!

  My climb of Mount Kenya with Hyrax Safaris went very well. Communication before the trip was smooth and everything worked as agreed. Our guide Kelvn managed the schedule carefully and made sure we acclimatized properly. We reached Point Lenana at sunrise as planned. The arrangements, food, and logistics worked throughout the trek. I felt safe and well supported, and the trip matched what was promised. I would recommend Hyrax Safaris for a Mount Kenya climb.

  I did the mount kenya in 4 days and It was definitely the best experience of my life. Samy, Patrick, and John did the three-day hike with me and were incredible!! They took such good care of me, making sure I had everything I needed! Especially Patrick, who cooked me three excellent meals a day. I will never forget it. Thank you again!!!

  We went on a 7-day trip with Hirax Safari, starting with a trekking adventure on Mt. Kenya followed by visits to three amazing safari parks. Everything was absolutely fantastic – very well organized, professional, and with a warm, friendly atmosphere.   An Absolutely Wonderful Experience with Hyrax! Thank you Stella, Daniel, Daniel, Douglas, John, Kim, Lalos, Patrick, Sam, Sam!!! We did a 4-day hike on Mt. Kenya with Hyrax, and it was absolutely wonderful! The guides, cook, and porters were all fantastic — incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating, and engaging. They made the entire trip such a joy from start to finish. The company was easy to contact, well-organised, and truly professional. Everything ran smoothly, and we always felt well cared for.   Journey alone to do the Trekking, the spectacular team Daniel as guide took the acclimatization slips and explained every detail, porters Dani, Sami and George in the kitchen took care of every detail the exquisite meals. I felt very cared for and safe at all times. Recommended

  We hiked Mt Kenya over 4 days. The whole experience was such a good adventure. The guides and porters were all so friendly and went out of their way to make sure you had a good time. Our main guide Dan was really helpful and generous. There were other hikers and groups around on the mountain but it didnt feel too busy which can take away from the sense of remotness and adventure. As I mentioned we hiked it over 4 days, I would suggest doing it over 5 days to help with the acclimatisation as we definitely felt it. Hyrax were a great company, Irene always responded prompting to our emails and answered all questions. They also dropped us to the airport at the end of the trip which we hadn't expected. Thank you for an amazing experience and looking after us so well!

  I really enjoyed my time climbing my Kenya with hyrax safaris. My guide Daniel was a solid guide. Super fit and knowledgeable about the terrain/landscapes and nature. He would point out the different species of plant and animals, encourage us and always keep an eye out for us when we were climbing. His climbing experience is second to none. Our second guide, Sam, is also an experienced climber, having climbed mt Kenya and Kilimanjaro countless times. I really enjoyed hearing his stories and learning Swahili from him while climbing. 100% recommend. Go with hyrax and you won’t regret!

  We did the 4 day 3 night hiking tour of mount kenya and frankly it was spectacular. We had a private tour but was supported by a team of 5. We had everything we could need in the tour in terms of camping equipment, food and even porters helping you share the load. The hike itself is spectacular and I couldn’t recommend hydrax enough if you thinking of a Mount Kenya hike. The team are super friendly and made the whole experience stress free.
