  An incredible day with Raphaëlle on Normandy Discovery Tours. Highly recommend. Our guide knew every detail possible about D-Day. She also carried maps and photos. It’s hard to put the tour into words. Early in the morning, Raphaëlle picked us up at our accommodations… immediately she began telling the story of the German occupation, the French resistance and the allies liberation, At every stop we understood the many facets of the story of the day, including the years leading up to D-Day, the planning, and the aftermath. Raphaëlle was flexible and asked us if there were specifics that we wanted to see… she made sure our entire day was filled with understanding. Also, her van was the cleanest car I’ve ever been in my life! 1000 percent recommend this company for a day of touring the Normandy WW2 sites. Merci Raphaëlle!

  An unforgettable experience with my partner who came from the USA to visit Normandy. I particularly recommend the guide Noé who speaks perfect English! A wonderful guide who is attentive to questions and brings the landing to life hour by hour! To do again!!

  Noe was a wonderful and informative guide. He took us to all of the places that we expected to see as then added more information with each stop. He was respectful of our time to return to the ship without having us miss the flag ceremony at the American cemetery. He is a wealth of information and entertained us with his stories. Highly recommend him and the tour.

  Five stars are not enough and we would give far more if it was possible. Our tour was a private tour tailored to questions about my husband’s uncle who was killed in 7/44. Our guide, Raphaelle, was very knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information. She was a pleasure to work with. Included in our tour was an hour drive to Utah beach and surrounding areas in WWII jeeps. Prior to the jeep tour, we met with Thomas who provided documents and photos related to my husband’s uncle that we had been unable to obtain on our own. He gave my husband far more detail than we ever expected and it is deeply appreciated. Thomas and the other drivers were all so informative and engaging, adding to the overall experience. The emotional highlight was a visit to the cemetery and participating in a small ceremony to honor the uncle; Raphaelle walked us through the process and was a great help. (The staff of the cemetery were wonderful and deeply committed.) After spending a very full day with us (a party of 7), Raphaelle contacted my daughter a couple of hours later. Based on further information about my husband’s father’s unit, Raphaelle - on her own time - had cross referenced troop movements and was able to narrow down a time frame for a very special phone call between my husband’s father and uncle before the uncle was killed.   We spent a fantastic day with the family by van with Thomas from Normandy Discovery Tour. We visited Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, the American cemetery and the parachute area. Thomas is passionate and has described in great detail the big and small story by adapting to our group with children 5 and 10 years old.   My family of five went on a World War II D-Day landing and Band of Brothers combination family tour with Normandy Discovery Tours, and it was an incredible experience. Thomas, our guide, was friendly, highly knowledgeable, and very engaging throughout the entire tour. He did an excellent job bringing the history to life and tailoring the experience to our family’s interests. His depth of knowledge and ability to connect the stories made these historic sites even more meaningful. I highly recommend booking with Normandy Discovery Tours if you’re looking for an informative, personalized, and engaging way to explore World War II history in Normandy.

  We (2 American couples) had a half day tour by van with Raphaëlle as our guide and it was excellent. She took us to places we would not have discovered on our own. We had 2 WWII buffs with us and Raphaëlle shared information that they did not know. Her overall set-up of the war and explanations were full of wonderful details and she had informed answers for our many questions. She left us with a deep sense of the importance and terrible costs of freeing Normandy in WW2.

  What a special day and Thomas made it that much more special. Seeing the beautiful villages of Normandy and all the history of D Day and WWII was very moving. Tommy knows the area very well, he is from there and is very involved in the local community with all the history and events. He is a very nice person and easy to talk with. Great day.

  Our son will remember this Jeep ride all his life on his 10th birthday. he is passionate about WW2. It is a very fun way to approach and understand the Normandy landings. Our guide Thomas enthusiastically conveys his passion for this period of history. The icing on the cake: it strengthened our desire to acquire a Jeep:)!
