• An unforgettable Swiss wine experience. Relaxing and at our own pace.

  I really wanted to write this review as it was deserving. Halit, our tour guide and organizer, was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we were picked up at our hotel, it felt less like a tour and more like a day out with a friend who wanted to share some of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland with us. We spent the day exploring the stunning Lavaux vineyards, enjoying local wines, and taking in breathtaking scenery. Along the way, Halit shared his knowledge and stories, and our conversations flowed naturally from food and wine to culture, history, and even politics. The entire experience felt relaxed, personal, and genuinely enjoyable. My husband and I wandered through a charming UNESCO-listed village, where we discovered a delightful unmanned shop and purchased two handmade ceramic pieces. The shop operated entirely on trust—you simply place your payment into a locked box, almost like a piggy bank. We also visited a historic church with a couple of unexpected surprises and climbed to the top of the village for spectacular views overlooking the lake. Later, we visited the famous Dézaley Grand Cru vineyards and walked downhill toward the lake while listening to fascinating stories about the region and its winemaking traditions. We then enjoyed a romantic lunch just my husband. An orportunity to enjoy Dézaley wine at a restaurant with incredible lake views. After lunch, we boarded a boat cruise, sipping coffee while admiring the vineyards from an entirely different perspective. The highlight of an already unforgettable day was meeting Blaise Duboux, a 17th-generation winemaker, at his home. There, we tasted five different organic wines from his 2024 production while sitting in his backyard overlooking both his vineyard and the lake. As a white wine lover, I especially enjoyed his organic Villette—a refreshing, smooth, mineral-driven wine with very few preservatives. Another white wine we tasted was equally mineral-forward but offered even greater complexity. In truth, every wine we sampled was delicious. Including his reds. What made the experience truly special was Blaise himself. Hearing his family story and listening to his thoughtful explanations of each wine made the tasting feel personal and memorable. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful day. A heartfelt thank you to Halit for creating such a special experience. And special thanks to our skilled driver, who expertly navigated narrow streets, somehow found parking where none seemed to exist, and was always there to pick us up whenever we were ready to rest our feet and continue the journey. This was a truly memorable day and one of the highlights of our time in Switzerland. Highly recommended!

  After booking the Gruyères tour with Halit through TripAdvisor, we decided to book a couple more tours directly with him. Although the tour was in English, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that Halit also speaks Spanish, which helped us understand the stories even better. This is a full day tour and with a little traffic congestion it took us 10 hours. The Lavaux tour was amazing. The restaurant was excellent, and the wine tastings truly surprised us. The wine producers were very welcoming and shared in-depth information about how the soil and sun play an important role in the quality of the wine. The tour covers all the entry fees. They picked us up from our hotel in Geneva and dropped off back. The boat ride made us feel like we were in the 1800s—you can see the old-style wheels and details, which adds to the experience. Highly recommended especially for couples.

  Halit was a fantastic tour guide. He spent all day with us, hiking, taking us wine tasting, and explaining several areas of the Lavaux region. He was able to adjust the schedule for us when necessary to make the best experience. The two vineyards he picked out were different from one another and both wonderful. We went on a boat cruise on Lake Geneva as well which wasn’t offered on other similar tours. Our driver Mehmet made us feel very safe for those portions of the trip. Both Halit and Mehmet were very kind, flexible and made us feel comfortable asking anything. I would highly recommend taking this tour with the two of them and would give the day 10 stars if I could.
