  Karl was fantastic! The Salzburg Lake District was stunningly beautiful. Karl was extremely knowledgeable about the history and area gems! We truly enjoyed our conversation on the entire tour. The center of Salzburg was full of history, great places and fantastic food. We could not have had a better day exploring beautiful Salzburg, Austria! Thanks Karl... Danka!!!

  A very worthwhile trip if you are a Sound of Music fan. Karl was an excellent guide, and he has so much knowledge about the history and culture of Salzberg. Also very accommodating when we asked if we could take a glance of the Eagle's Nest, and took a different route just for that! Make sure you ask for Karl when you book this trip.

  Stefan picked us up at our hotel in Munich and drove us through the beautiful Bavarian countryside, the Austrian Lake District near Mondsee, St Gilgen, and Fuschlsee. He then took us to Hellbrunn to see the trick water gardens, the Sound of Music Gazebo, and all around Salzburg. He was kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and a wonderful guide and steward of our journey. He dropped us off at our accommodation in Salzburg as we had requested.   Karl our guide was fantastic, showing us the historical sights, but also being flexible and taking us to a couple of Sound of Music locations not on the itinerary. We had a great time with Karl. We would recommend him and this tour.

  One of the best tours we've ever taken. Karl was an amazing guide, from start to finish. He had water for us in the van, but that was just the start. He had so much information to impart, even on the drive, but it never felt boring. He did an incredible job pointing things out along the route, and tying them to either history or even his own personal experiences. After talking to him for a while in the car, he told us he thought we'd enjoy a short detour to the Red Bull Museum (yes, it's real) and he was right. What a cool place to see with all the planes and cars and things related to the company. Then off to the SoM wedding church where Karl again had lots of details about it. After that he took us to this absolutely gorgeous lake town where some scenes were filmed and may be one of the most scenic places we've been. And then it was off to Salzburg proper where he spent some time guiding us around to get our bearings, then left us to wander and shop and have lunch and see some of the SoM sights on our own that he had pointed out. And don't miss Mozart's house. When we were done there Karl took us to where we could visit the "back" of the house from the movie right along a lake and get pictures, and then to the park where the 16/17 gazebo is located. And though it was a long drive back, Karl was so entertaining and funny the time flew by. I wish I could give this tour 6 stars. Truly a great day.

  Our guide Karl was excellent! My wife and I had allergies/colds and he made us feel welcome in any event. This was greatly appreciated. The tour was packed with sites to see including Sound of Music and old town sites. We loved them all. No regrets of any kind. Highly recommend

  All the history was wonderful and then add SoM sites. We had a marvelous time. The food was awesome and to have a small group of just the 4 of us was nice. We paid for the private tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable. Learned alot.

  Austria is beautiful, between the mountains and the lakes. This tour was very much worth it for just the view, but the additional history and sites were an added bonus.

  Carl was a great tour guide. He showed us numerous sites from the movie. Salzburg was beautiful with good food. Great tour.
