What To Expect

Teatro Nacional Sao Joao

ポルトの歴史的中心部のバターリャ広場に位置し、サンベント駅と大聖堂の近くにあります。 1798年にサン・ジョアン王立劇場としてオープンしたこの劇場は、ポルトで初めてゼロから建設された劇場でした。 1908 年に火災で焼失しましたが、建築家ホセ・マルケス・ダ・シルバ (サンベント駅と同じ建築家) の設計により 1920 年に再建され、再開されました。 1992年に国立劇場に昇格した。新古典主義とボザール様式。柱、彫刻、碑文を備えた印象的なファサード。豪華に装飾された内部：金箔のフリーズ、絵画が描かれた天井、キャビン。ポルトガルの劇場と舞台芸術の主要な中心地の一つです。古典演劇や現代演劇、フェスティバル、討論会、ワークショップ、文化イベントなどが開催されます。また、独自の演劇作品の宣伝や国内外の劇団の支援も行っています。ショーの開催中またはガイド付きツアー（予約制）で訪問できます。ガイド付きツアーでは、歴史、舞台裏の情報、建築について紹介します。

Sao Bento Railway Station

この駅は 20 世紀初頭に建設され、1916 年 10 月 5 日に正式に開業しました。この建物は、新しい建物を建てるために取り壊された古いサン・ベント・デ・アヴェ・マリア修道院の跡地に建てられました。この建築プロジェクトは建築家ホセ・マルケス・ダ・シルバによるもので、そのスタイルはフランスの影響を受けたボザール様式です。建物はU字型で、内部トンネルによって鉄道網に接続されており、ポルト・カンパニャ線やその他の路線に接続しています。駅の最大の魅力の一つは、20,000枚を超える歴史的なタイルで覆われた内部です。これらのパネルは、1905 年から 1908 年にかけてホルヘ・コラソによって描かれたもので、ポルトガルの歴史、田舎の生活、交通、歴史的な瞬間の場面が描かれています。アトリウムの上部には、この地域の重要な川である「ドウロ川」や「ミーニョ川」などの碑文が見られます。この駅は都市鉄道と地域鉄道のターミナル駅です。

We were able to arrange for a hotel pick up and drop off which was great. Bruno was a brilliant guide, friendly and informative, speaking perfect English. The tuk tuk was very clean and comfortable despite the many cobbled streets. Loved the tour.

This was the best part of our trip when we met Bruno such a nice person with excellent English and no matter we stopped he offered to take pictures. We felt we see everything with Bruno and he made us feel so important and made the tour extremely interesting. For anyone coming to Porto look up Bruno what a 5 star experience
