Tour was cancelled mid-afternoon the day before the tour was due to leave. This left us scrambling to re-plan our next day while we were out in the desert with little cell signal. We booked it because it was a niche tour that fit our interests but this left us with few options on short notice. We’d also partly built our vacation schedule around this tour. The operator from the company was very nice about it and suggested a backup company, but their tours looked totally different and not appropriate for our group. I wish we’d had more notice!!

The Valley of fire tour was absolutely stunning! The vibrant red rock formations, sweeping desert landscapes, and intricate natural arches were mesmerizing. The guide was knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about the geology and history of the area, which added depth to the experience. The highlight was the sunset—it painted the valley in shades of gold and crimson, leaving us speechless. This tour is a must for nature lovers and photographers alike.

We did a private tour of Valley of Fire state park, and our guide Clayton was absolutely first class! He is so generous with his time, and is very knowledgeable and humorous and definitely eager to share these with all of us. Plus Donna and Will, who run Adventure Photo Tours, were so helpful and accommodating, we were looked after so well!

I took the Valley of Fire tour. The tour was great. Lunch, water and snacks were included. The tour entered one end of the park and we did some exploring. We exited from the other side of the park. When we exited our last stop was the Lost City Museum. Our guide was Marcus. He was very professional and explained everything and ample time was given at the stops. A suggestion do not wear sandals or open toed shoes. The reason is sometimes you are walking in sand.

The Valley of Fire is beautiful. Dennis is a great guide, animal and nature lover. A fun way to spend the day! I could’ve done without some fellow passengers eating beef jerky all day in the van… but that’s not the tour’s fault!

The suv ride was cooler & more spacious than the other tours wed taken previously;& the guide was very knowledgeable about all the plants& history of the Indians as well as vegas itself. It was like having a historian & botanist onboard who served you delicious subway sandwiches & had the cost included w/ hotel pickups & activity entrance fees that other organizations promised but actually did not. The Indian museum’s cacti garden was MUCH more scenic to stop & eat at& our guide gave us plenty of time at each stop🤗

This is a great, safer way to see an amazing state park and some fascinating bits of history. Clayton, our guide, made sure that we were well supplied with water, sunscreen, electrolytes, and snacks, and checked in frequently to see how we were doing in the heat. He set expectations clearly about what we could and couldn’t do in this weather, told us an astounding number of facts, and kept conversation moving among a group who didn’t know each other, including some whose first language wasn’t English. He’s thoughtful, professional, and fun to talk to— he will talk a lot and talk fast, but don’t be afraid to interrupt with a question or an issue or if you need him to slow down. The lunch is from Subway but for those who aren’t fans it seems to be one of the better franchises- it’s fine. Call ahead if you have allergies and they’ll do what they can to adjust snacks for sure. The tour is well planned in terms of restroom and food breaks, as well as planning around traffic dropping off on the Strip (to the extent possible) The Lost City Museum and the park Visitors Center are clearly older in terms of the exhibits, but I see a lot of thought and care in what’s presented and while I am not an expert on Native representation by any means and the tone of the signage varies across the park and the museum, there does seem to be some work going into representing Native perspectives, and gift shop staff could point me to Native made crafts and understood why I was asking. The rock formations are GORGEOUS. This was a welcome break after the overstimulation of attending a professional conference, and even though summer hiking is a bad plan for most of us, you’ll get some walking and scrambling up rocks in if you want to. If that is not within your range of mobility or heat tolerance, you’ll still see some stunning sights from in or near the vehicle. No guarantees on the fauna, but we were fortunate to see big horn sheep and vultures.

My best friend and I returned to Las Vegas this year to celebrate her retirement. We had been in 2019 also. We booked this tour to see the fabled Valley of Fire and Lost City (Anasazi) and were delighted to find there were just 4 of us plus our guide Eli in the clean SUV for the 7 hour trip. Eli picked us up at our resort, and along with a pair of twin sisters, we headed out on our adventure, complete with Subway sandwich meals, lots of snacks and bottled water available throughout the trip. It was a lovely clear day for sightseeing! Eli was friendly, knowledgeable, and informative about the history and geology of the region as we traveled. There was a good mix of driving time, hiking time, and break times. We were all very comfortable. This was a great alternative to bigger bus tours, much more personalized. We had input into where and when to spend time, within reason, and keep on his schedule. It was a great experience!
