  Our tour guide David was very attentive and considerate. Our tour took place on a rainy day, and that morning, I kindly received a phone call stating a new change of where to meet. He wanted to make sure that we knew exactly where we were meeting so that we could stay dry. What was great is that he had a delicious pretzel waiting for us, and it was still warm. He wanted to make sure that he caught everyone who is supposed to be with us, and I liked the fact that he valued others. I’ve been on quite a few food tours, in general, and what was unique about this one was that there was definitely a variety of food selections. Well, I would not have personally chosen a couple that we did, I realize that for those who potentially have dairy, allergies, etc., a wide variety of items was offered. So, that was really great!

  Our tour guide, Tom was awesome, fun, engaging and very knowledgeable about the history of Philly! We enjoyed every part from pretzels to authentic cheesesteak- we were perfectly stuffed!

  Disappointment with the food options from the tour. Tried food totally not associated with Philly. Very unorganized & would not recommend.

  We had a wonderful time on the tour. Our tour guide James was very knowledgeable about both the history of the city, and the food we were tasting. Everything was delicious. We returned to the Reading Terminal Market the next day to try more of the food that was available there. James answered all our questions and gave us tips for the sight seeing we wanted to do after our tour.

  Our tour with Barry was a great experience. Barry’s knowledge of the city, its history, and its architecture was extensive, and the food tastings offered were amazing Philly specialties—a wonderful pretzel, ice cream, and a classic Philly Cheesesteak from Reading Terminal market, along with an amazing Mac and cheese fusion and a (new to me) wonderful “inari”, fried tofu pockets containing delicious fillings. This is a wonderful tour to get a feeling for Philadelphia history around City Hall, architecture of the neighborhood, and an introduction to the fabulous food and history of the Reading Terminal Market. We also learned about the murals and outdoor art that located throughout the city and the program that makes this art possible.
