• Fun Afternoon with really nice and experienced folks

  Robert picked us up at our hotel in the old part of the city which saved us a huge amount of time trying to organize our own transportation. While we're were driving the 40 minutes to the boat he told us lots of cool stuff about the area and the canal. The boat has a canopy for sun protection but once you start fishing they take it down for maximum reach of fish all around the boat. Remember to bring hats and sunscreen. The captain and Robert took us to see a few different types of monkeys each on their own island, which was super fun! We then drove out to some spots where the captain knew there would be fish and we all caught at least 1. The captain has a real gift for knowing where the fish are and for casting just right to get them when he spots them so it was pretty awesome catching so many. I think the experience was very reasonably priced and well worth it! The boat was relaxing when we weren't fishing which made the experience all the more better. After it was all over, not only did Robert drive us back to our hotel, we had an urgent need to print some important documents and Robert knew exactly where to go and we got what we needed which really helped us a huge amount. These guys are the real deal, super nice and chill.

  Top 5 guide I ever had. I do a lot of fishing. Even though Im an experienced angler. Rene was still able to teach me something new. Best part about Rene he understood the value of the customer. As soon as he hooked up he was ready to give the pole away. He help my father-in-law a lot. That was very important to me. Since he is not an experienced angler. Rene also kept us hydrated with plenty of snacks. Rene is also super friendly and spoke English. Which was cool because I’m from the USA. It made the trip a bit easier.   Great day fishing with Carlos and Roberto! Carlos had us on Peacock Bass throughout and we saw good action on fly and spinning rods. As a bonus, we got to drop in and mix it up with the monkeys!

  Carlos and Roberto provided an excellent memorable fishing experience. We saw monkeys and alligators along with catching many fish. Panama Fishing Trips were excellent communicators making setting up the trip details very easy. They have very nice boats and quality fishing gear. Best experience in Panama! Thank you!

  Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire trip feel effortless and exciting. We got to try several different styles of fishing, which kept things engaging the whole time. We successfully caught both peacock bass and snook! What really made this trip unforgettable, though, was the setting. At one point, we took a detour to explore and saw monkeys, toucans, and crocodiles up close! Fishing while surrounded by the sounds of howler monkeys and toucans felt completely surreal. Like something out of a documentary. This was easily one of the highlights of my time in Panama. I’d recommend this experience to anyone, whether you’re an experienced angler or just looking for something unique. I would absolutely come back and do it again.

  We had a great time! Targeted a number of different species and had success every time. Rene was a fantastic guide/host, very knowledgeable and quick with a smile. Very much let us pick what we wanted to target. The equipment was very quality gear. He arranged transportation and that was well organized and excellent service at a reasonable rate.

  We had a great day fishing with Captain Carlos. He kept us on fish throughout the trip and even took photos of our catch. My friend was a first time angler and Captain Carlos was patient with instructions and helped her every step of the way. She ended up with the catch of the day. Highly recommend and we will definitely fish with Fishing Panama again.

  We’d heard great things about fishing with Rene, and they were all true: our morning combined everything about the wildlife and the beauty of Panama, along with a great day of fishing. From Peacock Bass to an Orange Oscar to a 9.5-lb. snook, we fished what seemed like untouched wilderness to the Panama Canal, passing monkeys, iguanas, an alligator, and a capybara. And Rene was the perfect guide, narrator, and host. We can see why he got so many five-star reviews, and now he has another. This is a trip you definitely want to book.
