5.00I had an absolutely fantastic time on the Shinsekai Food Tour with Localicious Japan! From the very beginning, Aki (a kind and caring guide) and Jim (a cheerful and energetic guide) welcomed us so warmly that we immediately felt at home. Even though we’ve visited Japan several times, this tour made us realize how little we truly knew about the “real” Japan. Aki and Jim took us deep into hidden backstreets, guiding us to places we would have never found on our own—honestly, I doubt even many locals would know them! One unforgettable highlight was stepping into a tiny local butcher shop where I tried Japanese croquettes for the very first time—absolutely delicious!! It’s moments like these that made the experience so special and authentic. If you want to go beyond the typical tourist spots and truly discover real Japan, I highly recommend this tour. It’s an experience you won’t forget!

5.00My three friends and I had an amazing time exploring the "underground" side of Kobe in Shinkaichi. This isn't your typical shiny tourist trap—it's the real deal! The highlight was definitely the Pachinko. We’ve always wanted to try it, and finally getting to play was such a rush. The lights, the noise, and the silver balls—it was a total sensory overload in the best way possible! Great food, cool retro atmosphere, and an awesome local experience. Highly recommend if you want to see the authentic side of Japan!

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful time with Aki. She guided us deep into the real Kobe—especially the Shinkaichi area, which has such a unique charm that only locals truly know. We discovered unforgettable local foods, hidden spots, and the warm spirit of the neighborhood. It felt like stepping into the true heart of the city. I wholeheartedly recommend this trip.
