• Adventure to Benjamin's cabin

  Yes it rained...not strange in Bergen. Despite that, it is definitely recommended. Benjamin is a nice laid-back guy. And the cabin is small and is wonderfully located in the middle of nowhere. Thank you Benjamin for this adventure!

  

  

  

• An Authentic Norwegian cabin hike

  What an authentic and cultural experience this was! I was interested in this traditional cabin hike as a solo traveller from Canada eager to fulfill my curiosity for Norwegian nature and “hygee” which the Norwegian’s call “Koselig”. All things cozy, natural and present. The hike alone was absolutely breathtaking. We stopped at the viewpoint in mount Fløyan to take pictures where Benjamin shared the history of Bergen while pointing out key landmarks which made it that much more meaningful. When we got to the cabin, Benjamin was incredibly hospitable. He put on a fire for us, pour coffee and shared cookies while sharing the history of how his family came to inherit this family heirloom rustic cabin in the mountains. I honestly felt like I was in a storybook fairytale going back in time. The vibe at the mountain cabin was serene and peaceful with beautiful rolling greens in the distance. I am so grateful for Benjamin sharing this rare and unique experience with me. This cabin is unlike anything I’ve experienced as it is exactly what I was looking to feel from a local’s perspective.

  My husband & I made this hike today with our guide Benjamin. It was wonderfully beautiful! Almost untouched nature, great colors, forests and spectacular views! Then you stop at a typical Norwegian cabin that makes you feel like you've fallen out of your time. With a crackling fire from the oven and a hot cup of tea, you gather warmth and strength for the way back. Benjamin is super nice and can give a lot of information around Bergen and Norway!   The trail includes a bit of everything and gives you great views of the landscape with a couple of lakes, lots of mountains and the city. The distance is just right and you get to take a break with a snack in a real nord cabin which is quite unique. The guide is a local. He is knowledgeable and experienced, is open to questions and always keeps an eye on you for pace. He is even prepared in case you forget anything important. Definitely recommended!

  Our guide Benjamin took us to a very nice hiking between the mountains. We really enjoyed the views and he took interesting routes where you can see the views from good spots! The hiking took us approximately 2 hours until we reached the cabin in the second tallest top of the mountains in Bergen. The Cabin was small and very cozy! He offered us hot drinks and light the stove. And was very warm and enjoyable after a 2 hours hiking. I recommend this hiking
