• Exceptional trip in Tibet

  Travel China Guide provided outstanding service and communication, and we had an exceptional trip. Our Travel Consultant, Emily Xin, was very responsive and efficient, and took care of all our needs and customization requests. She was very proactive in ensuring that everything was organized so that the trip would go smoothly, including arranging for us to pick up the official Tibet Travel Permit during a short transfer in Beijing airport. Overall, Emily provided outstanding customer service, and we had absolute confidence in her. As for the actual trip, travelling to Everest Base camp, starting in Lhasa, was epic. Thanks to our outstanding guide Tsedron, we were introduced to the traditions of Tibet, learned about the history and Tibetan Buddhism, while enjoying spectacular mountain and river scenery. The trip was extremely well organized while feeling relaxed and well taken care of. The hotels were excellent, as was the driver who was very friendly and who drove very well and safely over long distances and mountain passes. The expertise and kindness shown by Tsedron while explaining all the sights really stood out and made the trip incredibly special. Overall, this was an exceptional and memorable trip, we would definitely use Travel China Guide again.

  This was my first trip to Tibet and it won't be my last. I had a very enjoyable and memorable holiday. The places visited and the scenery in and around Lhasa and on the road to Shigatse were terrific. The management and organisation of the tour by Kina and her staff were second to none. Everything went smoothly from pick up and drop off at the end of the tour at Lhasa Airport, and that included making sure that the Tibet Travel Permit got to me before I departed Xi'an for my flight to Lhasa. Everyone I made contact with from Travel China was fluent in English, that included the meet and greet driver on arrival at Lhasa Airport and our knowledgeable, kind and considerate Tour Guide. The Private Tour was made up of 10 persons from varied backgrounds and countries which made the trip all the more memorable. Hotel accommodation in both Lhasa and Shigatse was great; the rooms were large (with private bathroom) and were comfortable and clean and breakfasts was tops. I'm a male in my early 70's, reasonably fit and didn't find the tour strenuous; I was fine with the high altitude particularly in parts around Shigatse and didn't take high altitude sickness medication or felt the need to use oxygen (which was available if one needed it - including on the return trip to Shigatse); I just followed the advice of the Tour Guide and took things easy on the first day in Lhasa. It was a great holiday!

  What a fantastic tour Travel China Guide Tours arranged for me! Working with the agent Selina Wu, I received great service including prompt replies to all of my questions and clear explanations as to how any special arrangements (for my restricted diet in particular) would be handled. I began arranging a trip to Tibet early in 2018 -- Selina took care of everything in the preparations, requesting my documents for the visa in a timely manner in particular. As the day for the trip approached, I was in frequent contact with Selina, who connected me with my professional guide Phurbu Tsering. From the moment I arrived at the airport, I felt that I was in the hands of a well-planned organization. So we headed to Lhasa for the first two days of touring monasteries and shopping at the bizarre. Phurbu escorted our group through the tours, enlightening us about the historical and artistic background along each step of the way. As we headed out to Gyangtse and Shigatse, the driver of our van was highly skilled in navigating through the winding Himalayan Mountains. As a woman traveling alone, I always felt safe and had a great time viewing the sights with the other fun members of our group who got along great. By the time we reached Mount Everest -- wow -- all I could really say about that experience is it was worth the trip of a life-time to see. I felt as if I had really accomplished something, and Phurbu distributed hand-signed certificates documenting our having reached this goal. On the trip back, we stopped to see a monastery we'd missed on the way out -- due to a road being closed. Then on Sunday I was driven to the airport and was on my way home with memories to last a lifetime.
