• Amazing experience

  Nick was a patient and fantastic guide for my 20 yr old son, who had some experience but was ready for the next level. They started at a manageable rock to assess ability level and learn trad. Then off they went to a climb that was thrilling for my son and unlike anything he had tried before. I appreciated that I could watch from below and document the experience. Staff also had great communication throughout. Office location close to the park and easy to find. Highly recommend.

  Had an incredible day climbing Saddle Rock with our exceptional guide Luke. Luke brilliantly guided us on "Right On' route (multi-pitch 5.6-7) on one of JTNP largest rock formations. He was super professional, gave great instruction and was extremely encouraging. His strong guiding skills, calm and patient demeanor and enthusiastic personality allowed us to enjoy the climb and summit safely. We will recommend and ask for Luke next time we're in JTNP for some 5.fun. Well done!

  On the 5th of October I went climbing with guide Jaden. It was my first time climbing on the rock by myself. Although I have some indoor experience, it's a bit different outdoors. Jaden looked after me brilliantly and chose very appropriate routes. I felt safe at all times and had a great time! An absolutely outstanding experience. If I ever go to Joshua Tree National Park again, I'll definitely book the tour again. I would recommend it to anyone. From beginners to experienced climbers.

  Fantastic trip. Kelsea was very responsive and knowledgeable about the trips. My son and I went on a 6 hour trip and it was the perfect amount of time. Our guide, Stephen, was excellent. He was able to accommodate the difference in ability between my son and I and helped us both with technique specific to cracks. We were both challenged. Time was optimized with several routes available at each anchor. Stephen worked hard all day scrambling up to set anchors, rappelling down, and helping us climb safely. He also shared knowledge about the park geology and climbing trips in general. Importantly, a good guide will plan a trip with great routes and help avoid crowds and Stephen delivered in spades. Highly recommend Stone Adventures.

  My climbing guide Stephen was absolutely amazing! He was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I was interested in traditional climbing. He helped me to improve the slab climbing technique, taught me new knots. Overall I had very positive experience. I was able to do all I wanted in the 6 hours I booked. I'll be back for more!

  I highly recommend Stone Adventures, to anyone looking to rock climb at Joshua Tree, not only was the team kind, personable and professional, they were also so fun to spend the day with. Annie was great, she knew the park very well and had us at a wonderful location not only for climbing, but also for the weather that day. I can't want to climb with them again.

  I took the 6 hour gym to stone course by myself and WOW! What an incredible experience. I've never climbed before but I wanted to be able to absorb as much information as I could and challenge myself at the same time. We rock climbed to the top of a summit with a spectacular view and then rappelled down. It was exactly what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. My guide, Annie, made the trip even that much more exciting. She was fun, knowledgeable, patient, always made me feel safe, and you can tell she loves what she does. You will not regret booking with Stone Adventures. They will deliver an incredible customized rock climbing experience for you. I'll be back! PS Don't forget sunscreen and lots of water!

  My friend and I really enjoyed our trip with Annie. She planned the perfect combination of fun and challenge for our skill level. I enjoyed learning some new techniques along the way. Annie and the office manager Kelsey were also super responsive when I was first trying to figure out what trip would be best based on our other plans in Joshua Tree. Annie gave me advice as if she were a good friend, not like a sales person just trying to book another trip. I would definitely recommend Stone Adventures for any skill level and trip goals, as they will be sure to meet your needs and exceed your expectations.

  My friend and I did a private 6.5 hour trip with Annie, and I would highly recommend Stone Adventures and Annie as a guide. This was my first time climbing on actual rock, but Annie made me feel comfortable, encouraged me and challenged me. I liked that she picked a variety of routes that required different techniques.   Ask for Greg Petliski! As our guide he went above and beyond. He made our first Joshua tree rock climbing experience incredible! When he heard it was a birthday he went above and beyond to make it so special.
