  Ayu was so sweet and kind with my 10 year old and 1 year old sons. The food was delicious and the pace was slow enough for my kids. We only had to go on the train once and we even were allowed to stop to collect an Eki stamp (my family loves to collect them). We were all so full by the end of the tour!

  The experience was so great. We enjoyed our tour guide He’s very knowledgeable HeTook us to a lot of hidden gems in the city of Osaka gave us authentic experiences and a memorable night for our engagement ceremony. I will definitely give a referral for this excursion.

  Our guide was super friendly. She mixed in a bit of history with the tour. She was also really willing to answer any questions we had about daily life in Japan. It is A LOT of food to eat so come hungry! As a Mom traveling with kids, I really appreciated they take photos of you along the way.

  We had a great time tasting the amazing food. Our guide was so easy to talk with and engaging. We were meant to meet at a Mart but there were four in the area. Perhaps for new travellers to Japan another option would have worked better.

  This was a fun little tour completed 21/5/2026. Jimmy was a really lovely tour host and it was great to have him show us around. We got eat some yummy food specific to Osaka. The first place we had 8 Kushikatsu skewers of varying descriptions and they were delicious. The skewers ranged from meat to vegetables and everything in between. Plus 2 drinks. So we all had fun trying Sochu, beer, plum wine and other Japanese style beverages. We had a wander through the bustling streets around the Shinsekai area in Osaka. Jimmy gave us a bit of the background to all of the Billiken figures/ statues around the Dotonbori area and the connection to good luck from it. We took in the mini Eiffel tower come Arc de triomphe tower in Dotonbori. It had a beautiful mural on the underside. We then popped by a smaller food stand to eat some delicious Takoyaki. A quick, one stop, train ride to Dotonbori. On this trip was the most amazing part of the tour for me. Jimmy and I were talking and we worked out that we were both born on May 7th 1976. Initially Jimmy thought I was joking. He worked out very quickly it was true. Jimmy was totally blown away, as he'd never met anyone born on the same day as him, let alone the same year. Right there commenced a beautiful bromance, with my brother from another mother. Many hugs ensued. Then more of a wander around some of the shopping areas and markets of the Dotonbori area. Some little shrines along the way. This was good way to walk off some of the food. Next on the list was to make our own Okonomiyaki. Jimmy took us through how to mix the ingredients in our bowls, the right sauces and how to cook it ourselves. Yummy. More drinks and a delicious dessert, really topped off the evening well. 3 hours went by so quickly and we ended up with a cute little Okonomiyaki master keyring and certificate. Final bit was to have some photos out by the river, where there were many people trying to get the same pic. Thanks for a lovely low key and fun tour, Jimmy. We had a heap of fun with you.
