• Hanoi to Ban Gioc Waterfall with unexpected delights

  We had a wonderful experience going to Ban Gioc Waterfall from Hanoi. We were picked up at 6 right at the location we chose and drove 5 hours with a short stop to eat breakfast before we joined the rest of the group at a base in Cao Bang where we had launch. From here the tour began and we first visited the mountain with a whole, next a village where they make paper out of tree bark in a traditional way (which we tried) and then headed to our homestay. This second part of the journey is very beautiful and our only regret is not spending more time in Cao Bang to go trekking and exploring. Next day we visited the second largest cave (i think?) in Vietnam and the Ban Gioc Waterfall. Both beautiful and our guide was knowledgeable in all areas and explained many cultural aspects really well. The whole trip we were taken really good care of!! If we were to plan our Vietnam trip again we would definitely go to Cao Bang but for much longer than just one night, both because the transport from Hanoi is long and because it is an unreal landscape that one could spend months exploring

  Our guide was Quan. He tirelessly showed us around the region of Ban Giac and its surrounding landscape and cultures. He pointed out so many interesting things that we never would have known without him. He is very knowledgeable with the local region and can explain everything you see as he is from this part of Vietnam. He is very patient and kind with an excellent grasp of the English language. We also felt very safe with him on this remote location of the world.

  Would 100 % recommend. Took the tour with pickup in Hanoi. Everything was very well taken care off. The waterfall is a breathtaking experience and many other interesting stops pn the way including an underground cave and a very nice stay in a homestay overnight. Our guide Quan was great in every way and took some of the best photos of us we have had taken in many great spots. The drive to Cao bang from Hanoi is quite long and winding so make sure to use the restroom before and prepare to get comfortable for a couple of hours. Taxi had ac and outlets to charge your phone. A few stops along the way to get coffee and snacks.

  It as truly amazing the guide knows everything about the nature history and everything else he drove amazing he stopped everywhere we wanted to take picture he was very helpful it also felt like a truly local experience witch we really liked a lot of the pictures you see we would have not seen with a non local he knew exactly where to take us and what to do we even had a swim in the clearest water ever

  From the very start till the very end - we felt really cozy! Our guide was really nice and caring. Not just a guide - our guru, driver and photographer :) Quang tought us a lot about the history and sights, the culture and farming, and, of course, the food - everything we would not would have able to google out! It was great! Thank you!!!

  The scenery in angel mountain is great and also in cave and ban gioc waterfall. the service is very good and the tour guide really nice.. thank you so much Sin our tour guide, Son our driver from hanoi, Anthony and all other staf to make our journey memorable. God bless you all.

  This Tour was definitely the highlight of our travels through Vietnam and this is also thanks to our guide Việt. He was a lot of fun and is a great guy! The nature is also far more beautiful than anything that we have seen during our travels! I would definitely recommend to book a tour to Ban Gioc and to enjoy the nature and the hospitality of the great people that live here!

  We had the most wonderful and peaceful time with Sen, Lan and Nhan. The trip from Hanoi might seem long but do yourself a favor and come to this beatiful place!
