  This was an amazing experience! This is the activity I chose for my birthday and Katerin and YiYi made it so special for us! Katerin is full of so much knowledge and YiYi is just so sweet! Meeting with the Shaman and learning about the different medicinal plants was really special. The cleansing ceremony was very intense in a good way! The cacao was delicious! Overall I highly recommend this activity! Katerin and YiYi- Thank you for all the special touches and the flexibility. You both made that day so special with the cake and Lunch at Chola’s and the beach swim, stopping so we could see the sloth and so many other things !   What an experience!! More than worth the price. It was a great experience to be guided by someone from the Bri Bri Tribe who also spoke the language and is native to the land and water. He was so sweet and professional. We did not feel rushed at all or just another money grab. Each experience throughout the tour was special, authentic, and fun! I highly recommend this tour.

  I had the absolute honor of taking a tour through the Bribri community in Costa Rica, and it was an experience that felt like stepping into the very soul of the country. Our guide, Mainor, wasn’t just a guide—he is a member of the Bribri tribe. He carried the history, wisdom, and heart of the Bribri culture with him, and every moment in his presence was not only an education but also a joy! We began with a powerful experience with the Shaman, where tradition and spirituality came alive in ways I’ll never forget. Then we explored the richness of medicinal plants, learning not only how they heal the body, but also how deeply they connect to Bribri culture and respect for nature. The chocolate-making experience was pure magic—watching cacao go from bean to the most delicious hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted the way it’s been done for generations was humbling, delicious, and unforgettable. We even got to participate in the process, which made the final result even sweeter! And just when I thought the day couldn’t possibly get better, we ended at a breathtaking waterfall that felt like a hidden paradise. Standing there, surrounded by rushing water and natural beauty, I realized this wasn’t just a tour—it was a journey into the heart of Costa Rica. Mainor deserves every bit of praise possible. His knowledge, kindness, and passion made this experience extraordinary. Of all the many tours we’ve taken here in this gorgeous country, this was, by far, the absolute best! Mainor is not only a guide but truly one of the great storytellers and protectors of Costa Rica’s heritage. I will carry this day with me forever.
