I think it's important for Australians to visit and know the history of the Death Railway Bridge over River Kwai.

We had a comfortable car and a travel companion who brought us your knowledge. The program was messed up by train delays and renovation work on Hell Fire Pass. We would have liked to know the Hell Fire problem in advance. A little late we had visited an excellent restaurant by the river. It was an interesting day with a dedicated travel companion.

This was a long day but so worth while. Lead by our guide Jill, who was attentive to our needs all day, from getting prime seats on the train, water, helping with photos but because of her knowledge and allowing us time for contemplation, which was much appreciated. The Australian Army were present at Hellfire Pass, rehearsing for their ANZAC day ceremony, which made the visit more special. The way the cemetery was laid out was beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour. Once again thanks to our guide Jill and driver Ray, for taking such good care of us.

A well planned, interesting and varied excursion which included a short ride on the river to the base of the Kiver Kwai bridge as well as the train ride along Hellfire Pass. A though provoking experience due to the nature of the history it entailed but very worthwhile nonetheless. The short time spent at the well maintained cemetery to remember all the brave personnel who had lost their lives was much appreciated.

We had a great day with Jill and our driver. Only 2 of us on the tour, so it was basically a private one. Good mix of things to do during the day, although there is a fair bit of driving involved due to the distance to the sites from our central Bangkok Hotel. The air-conditioned bus was a godsend in the 35 degree C heat. Jill had everything very well organised and was able to answer all our questions regarding the tour and Thai culture. Very moving to visit the war cemetery, the Australian museum and Hellfire pass itself. Would highly recommend this tour, with this company.

This tour was with Amazing Asia Tours and our guide was Ken. We could not have asked for a better guide. He was very knowledgeable, patient and attentive throughout the day. The tour itself was excellent, and Ken gave us plenty of time at each stop to view, learn and reflect about what went on here in WW2. I highly recommend this tour

Amazing service from start to finish. It's a 12 hour day with a 7 am start but worth every minute. Our guide Oh was extremely knowledgeable & helpful throughout . Also our driver (whose name escapes me) was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Around a 2.5 hour drive out of Bangkok to Kanchanburi & the Jeath Museum, then on to the War Cemetery & the River Kwai bridge - we had plenty of time to walk across - following that was a 1 hour train ride on the death railway itself (over the bridge) followed by a great lunch at a local restaurant. Another 45 minute drive from there to Hellfire Pass which was another wonderful (if harrowing) experience. Last stop was a visit to a waterfall. Then a 3 hour drive back into Bangkok. Chilled water was available all day in the vehicle. Overall an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

Our guide, Ken, gave us a fantastic day. He made sure we got the best seats, visited the different places when there were as few others present as possible. He made sure we had the best possible all the time. He is has great knowledge of the area and the events that happened there! The tour started at 7:00 and lasted until 19:00. It was a few hours in the car, but it was good to have some time to rest between the strokes. We visited a war museum/captive camp, walked over the Kwai bridge, visited a memorial, took a train ride, had a fantastic lunch, visited the Hellfire pass and a waterfall. Ken always made sure we had the best possible! If you have the slightest interest in WW2 or not, we recommend this day’s trip from Bangkok. Hello Egil

This was a very comprehensive tour, starting at 6:30am until 6:15pm. Which included the Jeath museum in kanchanaburi, walking across the Bridge over the River Kwai, the war cemetery, riding the train along the ‘death railway’, a buffet lunch, visiting the Hell Fire Pass and Interpretive Centre, and Namtoksaiyoknoi water falls. The tour guide ‘Ken’ and driver ‘Sake’ were quite outstanding. They constantly went the extra mile, booking widows seats on the correct side of the train, providing a golf cart to take us down to the Hells Pass and ensuring we had a fantastic day.
