5.00Laziz was an excellent tour guide. He had a wealth of knowledge and commanded a great guiding style that kept you engaged throughout the tour. He was kind and considerate and was ready to answer any questions. Highly recommend Laziz as a guide for a day tour around Bukhara.

1.00Booking with Tranquil Holidays through Viator was an absolute nightmare, and I urge anyone considering them to look elsewhere. The experience was unprofessional, incompetent, and left my family significantly out of pocket. Despite booking a private car tour, the guide arrived alone, completely unaware of my messages to the operator beforehand (which went totally unanswered). My elderly mother has an injured leg and needs a wheelchair, a critical detail that was not communicated to the guide. The "private car tour" was therefore impossible, and our guide was under a lot of stress - in the end she had to Yandex and arrange for tuk-tuks to ferry us around. Given that she was so resourceful and helpful, I wanted to cancel the tour with Tranquil Holidays and I decided to pay her directly for all her efforts. No credit to Tranquil Holidays at all! Compounding the problem, the operator was completely unresponsive to all my messages on the Viator platform. Now I have been informed by Viator that Tranquil Holidays did not approve my cancelation and refund and I am now extremely out of pocket - paying almost double the amount thanks to my decision to pay the guide directly. This wasn't an isolated incident. The same operator also completely screwed up a separate tour I booked in Tashkent, sending a walking guide when I had booked a private car. I had to cancel that tour entirely. It's clear that Tranquil Holidays is an unreliable and unprofessional tour operator. The fact that they are on Viator’s platform gives them a false sense of credibility, but Viator clearly does not do its due diligence. Be warned—do not book with this company.
Bukhara - the gem of Uzbekistan

5.00Tashkent, Samarkand and now Bukhara. Our tour was organised in a perfect way by Tranquil Holidays. Stayed overnight in Bukhara and took the city tour with Nilofer. She was really sweet and guided us across the old town. Never a dull moment with her.
