5.00Our Tourguide led us on an incredible journey around Cardiff, sharing a wealth of historical facts interspersed with fascinating folklore. There is a lot of walking (which we loved) and the boat ride to the city centre was idyllic. We came away with a much greater appreciation for the richness and diversity of the Welsh people and their fight to maintain their identity.

5.00Wow what a day was delivered by our guide Darran from Wales Trails We were fortunate enough to only have our booking on the day, so it was like a personal tour. Right from the start Darran was excellent, his personality coupled with his knowledge of historical and current Cardiff was beyond anything I could had hoped for.

5.00We did the 'Cardiff in a Day' tour. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable about the city's history. It is a walking tour with the exception of a short 20-minute boat ride. We were fortunate to have the perfect weather on the day.

5.00We only had one day in Cardiff so this tour was perfect. We learned so much and saw interesting and historic spots from Cardiff Bay to the Castle, then great places to eat, the Cardiff arcades, the rugby stadium, the market and the museum. Idel was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Great day.

5.00Darran was a knowledgeable tour guide with many interesting points outlining the history of Wales and Cardiff. The tour gave us a nice overview from Cardiff Bay up to the castle and into the museum. He gave us recommendations for food and drink as well in the city.

5.00Perfectly paced and very interesting tour of Cardiff and its history. Our guide, Darran, had an encyclopedic depth knowledge of the city and its history, the good the bad and the humorous. Don’t let the “all day” aspect put you off, you move at your own pace spending as much time as needed at each stopping point. His patriotism and passion for his country shines through and is the perfect person to share a pint of Brains with at the end of the day.

5.00I don't think we would have appreciated Cardiff without this informative guided tour. We met our guide, Ildi, near the Welsh Millennium Centre at Mermaid Quay. This area had several points of interest and culture. Ildi introduced us to Welsh Cakes, which we made sure to get a dozen before we left Cardiff. The tour continued with a water taxi ride to the Cardiff City Centre. We were guided through the streets and arcades, where we were introduced to an array of shopping and restaurants. A highlight for us was the tour of Cardiff Castle. This castle and mansion are very well maintained and fascinating to go through. Our guide had a lot of knowledge about the history of the castle and the families who had lived there. We had lunch on our own and afterwards, went to the Cardiff National Museum. Ildi guided us through the highlights of the museum's art collection. This tour was pleasant. It progressed at a comfortable pace and opened us up to excellent ideas of how to spend the rest of our visit in Cardiff. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a starting point to enjoy the city of Cardiff.
