5.00Such an amazing way to start our holiday in Crete. We experienced great food but also discovered fabulous places to shop highlighting local artisans. Ioannis is an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and shared the best places with us showcasing local food while sharing the history and culture behind the food that we ate. We would highly recommend this tour and especially Ioannis. We can’t wait to continue to explore this beautiful city and island.

5.00Tour was excellent. Yiannis was incredibly knowledgeable about the rich history and culture of Crete, and he shared everything in a way that was easy to follow and genuinely engaging. The walking route included several local stops where we sampled small traditional Cretan foods, which added a great touch. He’s very down‑to‑earth and made the entire experience enjoyable. I would absolutely book this tour again.

5.00The walking food tour in Chania was the highlight of our trip! Truly our favorite activity of all the things we did in Greece. The food was incredible and our tour guide, Yiannis, was so nice and very knowledgeable of the area. We ended up having a private tour and learned a lot about Greek culture and the history of Chania. Absolutely recommend this tour!

He took us to wonderful family-run restaurants serving authentic local food and shared fascinating information about the dishes, their origins, and the history of Chania along the way. The tour felt relaxed and personal—more like exploring the city and enjoying great food with a friend than being on a guided tour. We discovered places we would never have found ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed every stop. Highly recommended!

5.00We just had the most incredible morning with George on the Chania Food Stories Tour. We literally ate our way through Chania tasting such Cretan delicacies as bougatsa, kalitsounia, local cheeses and drinks, and then topped it all off with a delicious lunch. Not only were we well fed, but we learned about the significance of Chania and elements of the Cretan culture that make it so unique and special. It was a feast for our bodies and souls and we enjoyed it immensely. George was knowledgeable and personable and we felt as though we were spending our vacation with a cherished friend. Thank you for an amazing experience!

5.00My Wife and I had the pleasure of doing a food tour in Chania with George as our guide. It was an amazing experience getting to eat with a very informational local who spoke great English. His answers filled in a lot of blanks for me and he definitely knew a lot about olives and delicious olive oil. The group size was great and allowed for a lot of questions. The locations were very authentic and it got us away from the typical tourist trap.

5.00We most enjoyed walking through Chania in the company of George Skevakis, who is an excellent raconteur with a great sense of humor. He was happy to answer our questions and had a wealth of stories to tell. We are grateful for the introduction to delicious Cretan food. We liked it so much that we returned to two of the restaurants included on the tour by ourselves a few days later.
